Karen Posted April 21, 2011 Author Report Share Posted April 21, 2011 Well, fingers crossed and all that sort of thing, I think she has stopped the excessive licking On about the 6th day out of 7 of the steroid ointment, she managed to get the sock off and have a real good chomp, so I was convinced that this was going to be a real long term problem. However, after another couple of days of wearing the sock, she had a swim in the Thames and was so soggy that I didn't put the sock straight back on her paw. We haven't needed it since! Not sure if the improvement is down to the ointment, pure luck or new painkillers for her arthritis. Interesting about the Sri Lankan dogs eating the soft collars, I hadn't thought about the problem of them not being used to a collar full stop. Vet wrap is fantastic stuff.
