Mags
Can anyone recommend a programme like Microsoft Access that I can download? Or can Access be obtained for free?
snow
You cant get Access for free legally .... I'm sure it could be found on a torrent website though However a free and legal alternative would be Open Office Base http://www.openoffice.org/product/base.html

Mags
Snow, I'm just wondering are you familiar with this programme, or anyone else for that matter. Basically what I want to do is create a database with addresses so I can print labels for my Christmas cards. Now I've managed to create a database and a table but when I go to create the labels, the database isn't showing up in the drop down list. I've done about 4 databases and none of them will show up. Any suggestions?
snow
I haven't used it myself, and I never have been able to work out mail merge even with access for lables I tend to use the Avery add on for Word and cut n paste the addresses in one at a time

Mags
I used to be able to do it quite easily in access, it was very handy for my wedding invitations. But that was on my old computer so now I don't have the programme any more. The instructions in open office are so easy but it just won't work for me. Ah well, envelopes are all hand written now
