Ian
A quick update. Con is still not well, he's very lethargic (doesn't want to do anything, but sleep), his appetite isn't very good and our normally sweet natured boy can be growly with us, he going for an MRI on Wednesday, John our vet isn't sure what we'll get from it- and I'm sitting here wondering if we are doing it for us or him Best of luck with the MRI, I hope it reveals some positive news / new avenues of treatment. As to who you are doing it for, I would have thought all of you! No one can promise you the ideal outcome but they can give you & Con every possible tool to base your decisions, treatments & hopefully recovery upon. Good luck. kats n greys
Well Con has been sent home without having an MRI, the referral vet didn't think he showed enough symptoms of a tumour , but he had an ECG and a blood test both of which gave some strange results!! Next step- he's going to another vet who an "Internal " specialist, he'll have a ultrasound and a few other tests to see if she can maybe explain his problems. Con's blood test didn't show the results he would have expected for a dog with Cushings diagnosis (although John himself has always never been 100%). So we all go back on Friday to see if Ellie can provide any answers to explain Con's myriad of problems. On a brighter note Con has been a little brighter today.
