Laura_E
Did anyone see this programme on Channel 4 last night? It was about Katie Piper, a young model who had her whole life turned upside down when her ex-boyfriend set-up an attack in which she had corrosive acid thrown in her face. It left her with severe burns to her face, chest and hands, as well as blind in one eye. She has had countless operations since and now wears a plastic mask 23 hours a day to help flatten the scars on her face and tubes up her nose to enable her to breath properly. It was such a sad and horrific story, but I thought that Katie came across as a truely brave and inspirational individual. I don't think many people would cope as well as she has, I certainly wouldn't.
ReikiAnge
I couldn't face watching it last night but I did see the BBC interview with her online the other day. A horrific thing to happen and yes, I thought she was a remarkable young woman too.
