At long last :)

Today the ACPO guidance in dealing with dangerous dogs went on their website.

This has been in the pipeline for ages but has now been finalised.

Please have a read, its worth it

Massive thanks should go to Neil Davies of Merseyside Police who wrote the original policy and who is also an advisor to ACPO. He worked his arse off for this as did Peter Tallack [ex Met and now advisor to ACPO and Ian McParland, also of the Met]

Well done guys! this is a huge deal

we didnt do a lot really apart from provide the returned dogs sheet and we were consulted with about the merseyside policy which has been used in this guidance. and of course we moaned about dogs not being left at home  its a step in the right direction some dogs will still be seized but hopefully the responsible owners of many pet dogs will now be able to keep their dogs at home whilst 4b is actioned.
