Fee
Tess is a fantastic 12 year old crossbreed terrier who is in an Oldies Club foster home in Middlesex. She’s had a visit to the groomers since arriving and the following photos show off her new trimmed look! Tess has the energy and enthusiasm of a dog half her age. She is loving, affectionate and very friendly with everyone that she meets. She is also an extremely clever girl with a whole host of tricks that she likes to perform in the hope of some attention or a treat! Tess loves her daily walks and can hardly contain her excitement when she sees her lead. However, once out and about she soon calms down and walks nicely by your side. She is also excellent off lead and never strays far. In the park, she loves to play fetch, although she hasn’t quite grasped the concept of returning the ball and seems to think that simply locating it is good enough! She also loves to have a run around with other dogs, but will always return immediately when called. When out on walks, Tess attracts a lot of attention from both canine and human admirers. People are always remarking on what a lovely girl she is and can’t believe that she is 12 years old. She is a little bundle of energy. Tess gets along well with other dogs - large and small, young and old. She has the playfulness of a puppy combined with the manners of an oldie. She is also very well behaved around people of all ages and has previously lived with young children and three cats. She has proved herself to be very good with small animals that she meets outside of the house, but hasn’t warmed to the timid cats in her foster home, so would probably be best suited to living with dog-confident cats that will be happy to let her interact with them. She behaved impeccably on a recent trip to the vets and didn’t make any fuss at all, despite having to endure being poked and prodded. She simply saw it as another opportunity to showcase her talents! Tess is spayed and microchipped and will be vaccinated, wormed and flea-treated before being rehomed. She has some skin irritation on her tummy which is currently being treated with Malaseb baths and antibiotics. This may need ongoing treatment in her new home. Because of her excellent temperament and laidback character, Tess would fit into almost any household. She has adapted amazingly well in her foster home and it has taken her no time at all to settle in. She is very clean in the house and is OK to be left for reasonable periods of time without any problems. In the evening she loves to snuggle up to you on the sofa for cuddles and belly rubs, and in return likes to provide you with the daily entertainment by showing off her tricks! Tess is a very sweet girl with a lovely character. She loves to give kisses and is very eager to please. She is gentle and affectionate with great manners and a loveable nature. If it wasn’t for her snoring she would be the perfect dog! She really deserves to find a home with people that will love and cherish her for the rest of her days. ————————————————– If you could offer Tess a home, please refer to our Adoption Procedures for information about the adoption process.
