Tilly’s a gorgeous 9 year old Jack Russell Terrier who has very sadly been returned to us due to a change in her owner’s circumstances. She is a lively, obedient little girl and is great with other dogs. Tilly is currently in a temporary Oldies Club foster home in South Wales but she will be moving to a new foster home in October.

This is what her temporary foster mum has told us about Tilly:

“Tilly is a little gem of a dog. She settled in sraight away with no trouble at all. She loves to go out and gets very excited when she sees her collar and lead. She loves to run around in the fields and likes to go sniffing around in the long grass and bushes.

She is very dog-friendly, a good traveller in the car and has an extremely good appetite for such a little dog. She doesn’t like being picked up much but will jump up herself and loves to crash out on the sofa, and on the bed if she gets the chance!

She’s very obedient and her recall is excellent. She is also very cute! I cannot fault her. She’s a super little dog and will make a fantastic companion for the lucky person who gets to adopt her.â€

Tilly could probably live with older children, but she needs a cat-free home. She could live with other dogs.

This is Tilly’s original entry from June 2007:

Tilly is a lovely Jack Russell Terrier who came into Oldies Club care because her mum sadly couldn’t look after her due to her own health issues.

Tilly is quite a timid little girl when you first meet her but once she gets to know you she becomes a true lap dog and loves nothing more than snuggling up. She has recently had some dental work done and only has four teeth left but her breath is very fresh, which is good because she loves to give you lots of kisses!

Tilly is very lively and will walk for England! She loves to chase the birds out of the garden and play fetch with a tennis ball. She has a few cuddly toys that she likes to pay tug o war with and she’ll play the game with humans or dogs, she doesn’t mind!

In her new foster home she was a bit grumbly with the resident dog at first but this was mostly out of fear as he’s quite a bit bigger than her. But now she walks all over him, loves running up the garden with him, eating with him and sleeping with him …. and she’ll sleep with humans too if you let her, both in and on the bed!

Tilly can live with another dog if introduced properly and she’ll be fine with older children but a home with cats or other small furries would not be recommended. Tilly is very well behaved, always eager to please and responds immediately to her name. She is fully housetrained and good at travelling in the car. An altogether wonderful little dog with no faults!

Tilly has been vet checked and is in good health. She has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, worm and flea treated.

Wonderful news :cheer:

I meet her the first time in June 2007 when she arrived at the foster home. She was such a sweet little timid girl but her favourite game was playing with a tennis ball. Bless her

Good luck in your new forever home.

Cheryl & Mike xxx
