Scooter is an adorable 14 year old mini Poodle who is being cared for in an Oldies Club foster home in Chelmsford, Essex.

Scooter has been with the Oldies Club for quite a while now; he came to us with his brother, Guinness, and we were told that they were inseparable. However, Guinness’s behaviour towards vulnerable little Scooter has gradually deteriorated to the point that we have had no choice but to separate them. Scooter is now blossoming on his own - out of the shadow of his more dominant brother.

Scooter is a very sweet little boy who loves to be with you and get lots of cuddles. He loves to go out and gets excited when he sees his lead. His recall is good but he does get carried away in his own little world when having a sniff around in the grass so he sometimes forgets to keep up with you. You therefore have to keep a careful eye on him.

Scooter is child and dog friendly and could live with cats too! He is fine to be left for 3 to 4 hours and is not destructive, and he travels well too!

Scooter is vaccinated, neutered, wormed, frontlined and microchipped.

Scooter is a delicate little flower. Whilst in our care, Scooter developed a cough and was found to have a lung infection and a heart murmur. The infection was treated with antibiotics but he needs to take vivitonin and steroids. If you adopt Scooter, the Oldies Club will pay for the medication to treat his heart condition for the rest of his life.

Scooter will make a fabulous little companion for someone. Is that someone you?

If you are interested in Scooter, please refer to our Adoption Procedures for information about the adoption process. You can then contact an Oldies Club rehoming co-ordinator as follows:

Email: [email protected]

Telephone: 0844 586 8656

Scooter can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, subject to a satisfactory home visit, but note that you will be required to travel to the foster home to meet him.
