My Dad & Stepmom are over from Africa and will be staying with us for a week as from Monday. I want to take them to the Isle of Wight for the day, Brighton and some other place which I know where it is but can't blimmin remember it's name at this moment in time However, they are currently staying with my sister and everywhere they go my sister is paying for but I can't afford to do that so it needs to be cheap and cheerful but a good day out. Are you far from the New Forest as that's lovely, we went to Lymington, OH says ferry prices to the Isle Of Wight are not cheap so check. What about a day trip to France from Newhaven to Dieppe? (they often have day crossings for £10). Karen Posted August 22, 2008 Report Share Posted August 22, 2008 There's a list of places/things to do here Not sure how much it would cost, but a narrow boat trip from Guildford is fun or what about a wander round Windsor (I know it's not quite Surrey!) then an open top bus or boat trip?
