BOB Posted February 22, 2008 Report Share Posted February 22, 2008 It doesn't sound good. Try spraying some air spray into the fan it could be clogged up with dust. Could be overheating, or could be on it's way out. If you feel the side of the pc where the air vents are does it feel hot and does it make a whirring noise - that points to the fan. Is it an old pc and what do you use it for ie does it have to process lots of applications at the same time? Do you have anti virus software?
