Elderly Cocker Spaniel - Rugby, Warks

Just taken a call from Emma (Supafrisk)

She has just picked up a very elderly Black & White Cocker Spaniel who was found straying in the Hilmorton area of Rugby.

No collar, very matted and dirty, looks like ear infections, and a hole in her nose.

Emma thinks she is a bitch, but doesn't want to poke about too much as the dog is quite distressed at the moment.

Emma will contact DogLost with full details as soon as she can.

Firstly I have to say a big thanks to Sarah and Paul at Wiccs HQ for putting the jigsaw puzzle together this morning for me and offering her a place and putting me in touch with Bernie regarding transport. Sorry if I've taken a while to get back, I've been up since 8am yesterday morning :tired:

Am crossing my fingers that there's no cause for concern at the vet's and very sad really that such a poor old waif could end up roaming on a bitterly cold night.

I had a feeling that she wouldn't be chipped, and although I've rung all the vets in the area and the police, nobody as of yet has reported her as missing (and she's been missing over 12 hours that we know of).

Oh and it wasn't a hole in her nose, it was a wart :blush02:

Just getting an update from the vet's now - they've cleaned out her ears as they were very bad and she has a course of drops to go on for a week and they've charged me just £11 for the drops which I didn't expect and nothing for the examination etc

All sorted to pick her up and hopefully she will be bernie'd down to Wiccs HQ very shortly.

Bless her, this old lady turned up at Wiccs with Auntie Bernie and has stuffed her face with good food and drink.

Emma has just phoned to say that her owners have come forward looking for her, so Susie is now back in Auntie Bernie's car and heading back to Emma and her home.
