You can "adopt a duck" here: http://www.thegreatbritishduckrace.co.uk/c...php?charity=426 The ducks cost £2 each and any money donated over the £2 per duck, will be donated to the Oldies Club, less a small fee. If you are a UK taxpayer, please ensure the Gift Aid box is ticked The Duck Race will take place on Sunday 2 September 2007 on the River Thames. Spectators welcome - if anyone does go, do take some photos for us There is a page explaining the environmental side of the duck race http://www.thegreatbritishduckrace.co.uk/environment.php Who wins? The ducks will be dropped in to the holding pen and released completely at random. Each duck is individually numbered and the first duck to cross the finish line will be deemed the winner of the £10,000 cash prize. Further superb prizes will be awarded to the next 30 ducks that cross the line. The winning numbers will be listed on this site and the winners will be informed by email or phone. (no idea what the additional prizes are - maybe they'll send you a 30th of the ducks entered ). Good luck!!! I just tried it again and received an email straight away - though now I'm not sure I got one with the first lot I bought The email should come from "Duck Adoption Service", email address [email protected].
