Houndwoman
Molly had her op today to remove the growth from her thigh. As she is epileptic there was a worry with the anaesthetic. The vet gave her Valium as a pre med instead of ACP. She also had her chest and spine xrayed just in case there was any sign of any tumours etc. Thankfully there is no evidence of anything sinister but what it did show was that she has spondylosis which the vet said is a typical elderly 'Basset back'. Her spine has also fused itself in the lumbar/sacral area and that explains why she has problems with her co ordination in her back legs. The lump has gone off for analysis so we are praying we have some good news in a few days She has come home in a buster collar which is a nightmare seeing as she is so low to the ground Everyone is keeping out of her way including the humans and when she gets on the gravel area she keeps scooping the gravel up in it. It's just like watching the canine version of a JCB in action We are just so relieved that she has at least got through the op, bless her
