  5. Sorry the news wasn't better. Little consolation really that it's a slow progressing one but hopes this gives you lots more time with your boy. He sounds in great spirits!
  6. OMG how terrible. Was only speaking to Lindsey via email the day before and we were hoping to meet up at a dog show over the weekend. I'm so sorry Lindsey, such a tragic accident. Sweet dreams Nancy XX Sue

My wonderful devoted friend for ten years and then your life was cut short. I trusted the wrong people and made some bad decisions but by the time I realised, it was too late to help you. I let you down and I’m so very sorry. I will carry the guilt with me always. Be happy my beautiful boy and watch over me until I come to find you….. Thanks for pinning this.....easier to find. Dylansmommy, your story is really touching. It reminds me of many years ago when I worked for a rescue, a local tramp came in one day in tears because his dog had died. His clothes were tatty and he slept wherever he could find shelter. He asked if we would let him have a dog. He explained that somedays he didn't have a lot to eat but whatever he had in life he would share with his dog. After a bit of a discussion it was decided to let him have a puppy and arranged that he would pop in every week to collect food for it. He went away with a look on his face I'll never forget. The dog may not have had many material things but it was very loved. Sometimes you have to look beyond the surface.....
  15. After everything he's been through my very beautiful boy made his final journey to the Bridge this morning. Over the time he was ill the vets were amazed at the complications he overcame. So many times we thought the time had come but he fought through it and before long would be playing with his ballie again. He was my very special boy. I had him at ten weeks to train for obedience. He started competing at seven months old and was working Championship C by the time he was three. He represented the Midlands team in the Obedience at Crufts one year, I was so filled with pride that day. Obedience was all he'd ever known really and even when he was ill he'd still try to muscle in when I was training the other dogs so he could do a bit of heelwork. I've just sat and re-read all the messages from everyone. What a comfort they were when it was all going on. This photo was on the very first post on this thread. It's my favourite piccie I have of him. So handsome and that bright light in his eyes. I can't imagine my days without him around. My darling Snoopy, I love you so very much. Wait for me baby, I've got the ballie remember........
  16. What a sad time for you. I'm sure beautiful Mint is watching over you
