I only put a coat on Lottie when it'below -5. Just off to forest now and it's -8. She needs a winter coat and won't grow one if she is warm all the time. The coat she has is just a light wax one

Spoke to soon. Still here. Loads of snow last night. Need to decide what to do at about 11am. I want to go home but am not risking mine and Lotties life to get there.

I am lucky in the fact that Lottie will cheerfully wear anything I put on her. Unless she appears physically cold I don't put a coat on her. She will not however, go out in pouring rain without one on. I am very sad as I have just bought her a green quilted Barbour coat. I tell you what. It was cheaper than some coats I've seen in pet shops and it's all proper buckles n stuff.

I went to Leeds on Friday night to visit doggy lover. No snow at 9.30pm. Woke up Saturday to snow. So far so good . Sunday car battery died. No worries, got that fixed. Left to go home 12 noon today and got stuck in that M62 gridlock. 4pm just managed to get back to Michaela's. Very stiff drink and I'm still at Michaelas. Gunna have another bash at getting home in morning 6am. Supposed to be going to work in morning. I will take dog to forest on way home so, reckon I'll be a couple of hours late and just blame the M62.

I heard about those on radio 2 today. They sound amazing.

It would never cross my mind to avoid a greyhound if I had a small dog. I see them as gentle dogs.

My pointer was bought as a pet by last owner. She works now. We leant together.

RSPCA are not up to much in my book either. I support the smaller rescues.
