  1. Have not decided yet, may go and do Darwin and surrounds for the first 2 weeks or up to Cairns and potter around, last part will be in the Briszzie area. We're home at beginning of Nov
  2. Poor Obe has had 13 teeth removed today - yet he still demanded his dinner on his return home! (chicken and pasta, I hasten to add). His picture appears in the Wiltshire Gazette and Herald this week (Taken at Bowood) - unfortunately without any story!
  3. Does Sirius want 3 1/2 weeks in Oz starting 7th Oct?
  4. Obe's been out an about fundraising for Oldies the last 2 weekends, he aroused lots of attentions and has, I believe, got a homecheck out of it! It was his birthday yesterday, he had sossiges and today a parcel arrived in the post from his original home - a lovely new harness, a squeaky toy and some treats to share with his friends! He's brillaint with humans and other dogs - he had a whale of a time Friday playing with Amy's Louie and loves playing with Kelsey, my housesitter's springer.
  5. The lad is back on his feet - tho he looks like he's been down the pub too long!
  6. Cocoa recovered well, albeit a bit wobbly! However, today it seems he has had a full blown stroke according to the vet. He has currently lot the use of his hind legs. Please think of hom and Sarah and Bob who love him very much.
  7. Happy Gotcha handsome boy!
  8. Brilliant! It was so much easier than I thought - people were so keen to put money in our tins! We had loads of genuine interest too, may get a couple of fosterers out of it and a few people were interested in Obe, the only foster there. The dogs' behaviour was impeccable - Sid and Obe really played up to the crowd.
  9. Happy gotcha lovely Joe! Are we going to be seeing you at Bowood?
  10. The baby was allergic to him - his family were devastated to part with him, they'd had him since he was a puppy.
  11. Barney was my first ever Oldies foster five year ago. A friend of mine fell in love with him and adopted him and he's since acquired a rescue GSD sister. She took him to the vets because he'd been coughing, he was xrayed yesterday and the vet has spotted something in his lung, his said it could be a worm,an infection or a tumour. Barney goes for further scans next week, so we're all hoping it's something minor.
  12. May I introduce you to new foster Obe , a very spritely 10 year old basset: His playbasset pose: Sid lab feels very much in the minority in this 3 basset and a lab household, but he's been happy to show him his favorite walks:
  13. I have just put away Sid's Oldies bandana and Obe's I need a home lead - I was going to turn up tomorrow. Just as well you phoned Fiona!
  14. Where exactly is the collection taking place? Ron and I along with Sid and Obe can come along for about 3 hours, what would be the best time?
  15. Sid and I and possibly A N Other hope to attend
  16. So very,very sorry Helen
  17. Run swiftly, free of the wobbles Sir H. Wendy
  18. Run free Sian. to all who loved you.
  19. Brilliant, well done Lynne!
  20. Run free with an unlimited number of balls to chase to all those who loved you so much.
  21. And another belated gotcha to the handsome Sir H!
