Thanks Gwyn We drove back down there yesterday morning but there was no sign of him. No sightings reported on the golf course either Probably a very long shot but maybe the owners phoned the police and they passed on the reported info? Have just phoned the dog warden and given her all the details.

Dog running loose at the Eastbourne Golfing Park Ltd, Lottbridge Drove, Eastbourne, East Sussex. Poss. GSD x Collie, male, youngish looking, probably under 5yrs old. He's nervous and flighty. Spent almost 2hrs trying to catch him but no luck. Golf course has railway line running along the back and 2 busy roads along the side and front. Police notified. Will call dog warden first thing Monday morning.
