This years Anuual open day and fun dog show is on Sunday 22nd Aug. Starts at 12-4pm!!! dog show starts just after 12 finishing with best in show at 3.30! We have BBQ, Bouncy Castle, ice cream, new local home made sweet shop, cafe, face painting, kids game zone, doggie stall, and our kennels are open for viewing! Our grand raffle this year is fantastic, with a weekend in wales up for grabs in a doggie friendly cottage, plus Police sunglasses worth £90, champagne and lots of vouchers for family days out, cinema, meals, etc We also have alot of brilliant external stalls such as GAP, RGT, RDR, Phoenix, CHAR, CPL, Boxer rescue liverpool, Paws N Claws, Dubs N hubs, All natural food company with amazing new treats, P.A.T, T-Touch, Merseyside police AND HOPEFULLY THE LOCAL FIRE UNIT......INCLUDING FIREMEN!!! lol.gif lol.gif the highlight for me! Plus the PDSA free health check unit will be with us all day and £10 microchipping. yep got back about 6 wks ago...unplanned but hey thats how things go!!! back at dogs trust covering some maternity and doin public support relations,,,,,be good to catch up

She was in the pound and Rochdale Dog Rescue got her a space at retired greyhound trust shropshire....they estimated 4yrs at the pound but vet thinks more like 2yrs. She is just a total star!!! On her trip to rescue on the first leg of the run she managed to get out of a 3-4inch gap in thw window and jump into central reservation!!! honestly if you have met her you would never understand how as she aint exactly small.... thankfully all traffic stopped and they got her as she just lay down very scared! This obviously doesnt help the traffic fear but i think was already there as she was scared of being in the car hence the leap ...... but she will be coming into work with me most days and getting to play with lots of doggies and nice big outs!

So after i lost king 2 half years ago i said i would never go through that heart break again...... then as time went on i thought one day i will be ready again,,,,,,,but then the timing was never right! I went on transport run wqith mike two weeks ago and lace popped into our life,,,,,,and welll...... 2 weeks later after lots of talking and 'looking' and thinking........Lacey came home today!!! well we are currently working on more pics but we seem to want to snog the camera all the time........ From first meeting this nervous shivering wreck she has now become this tail wagging kissy girl who is starting to be a little brave......although not brave enough to try stairs :lol: she still has her fab head tuff which we love and will be working on her coat throughout the week...... got her spot sorted! The head tuff which we just love!!! I don't think this girl has ever been in a house......she has no idea what anything is! stairs are a tiring task......for us as we have to carry her! so will be working on that today with plenty of cheese any tips are very welcome! Also working on house training.....only had 2 misses She lovesssssss shoes and willl bring you them all day long and has met the wonderful world of kongs and was in awe of it for ages! On another note we hate traffic and freaked out big time on mike today so will be working on that slowly! Think this poor girl has never been socialised at all and just doesnt seem to know what anything is.......apart from the yard!!!

Could someone who knows the police stuff well (im thinking one of the mel's maybe) and been involved in dogs in police care PM me pls....or email [email protected] would really really appriciate some advice and info! cheers my dears

So things taken certain twists and turns and things just not worked how we thought. Plus we have had quite a few health issues as well as my depression returning with style, so we have come to the very hard decision that we will return home at the end of Feb.... Although it may seem like easy way out believe me its not, its hard leaving all the kids we work with her and the people and also returning home to no job no car no home no money etc....... but we will have family and friends around us to help get back on feet!!! And so hopefully soon we can then start fostering and looking out for dog.....which excites me alot.........

So i have started helping at a shelter here which is mainly cats but small amount of dogs come through.... Its an odd place as someone gave them a shop which they have the cats all free roaming in....then crates for night for kittens and oldies..... then some pup pens and crates for dogs that are in for he day for viewing,,,,, considering alot i have visited this is by miles the best,,,,hence why started working here!!! But this little chap melts my heart every week and whats worse is he is pitt so even if i wanted i couldnt have him as when we come home he is illegal!!! It just really struck me even afetr all the years doing kennels and DnB stuff that this lil guy is fine here but on death row at home!!!! also here are few more of the guys at the centre and chewy the toilet guard

yet again another sad one on my doorstep.....sadly again it wont suprise me if comes out as type as this area is bad for it!.....have a sinking feeling he is one from our church kidz klub the boys here will meet against the boys from 'across the park' for fights.....people fights....knife fights dog fights... they dont care who gets hurt!!!! So so sad that yet again though that merseyside police have to go through all this stuff again.....lets hope they learnt a little more wisely how to deal with situation!!! RIP boy .............run free dog

Mike just looked at stuff and wish we had known when in uk about the common interest! We went to a local shop here someone recommended and WOW they were amazing with wall to wall guitars. Mike just got new effects pedal so wants a new guitar now to play about with it :s. You two are.... Us two

heya guys im now setting into floridian life well and although its eally hard work through the days i still love every minute... we are working 6 day weeks so on sats we have made most of it and been really looked after by the locals and taken out on jet ski's to see dolphin and manatee....amazing we also have induction at a shelter tomorrow to start helping their with walking and training then maybe fostering once we get in our proper house,,,, but i have been looking for usa dog forums with transport and fostering needs etc but cant really seem to find any that are that activ or seem that good,,,,, anyone got any recomendations or know of some!!

Hello one and all from across the pond..... Hope everyone is doing well.....we are very very hot in sunny san antonio Tx, hit 109 last week,,,, ahhh Finish training on friday then off to florida on sat to start all the fun and get settled in our new home!!! will try and get pics up once we get florida ......

So the time has come ......how it has arrived so quickly i dont quite know! But this time tomorrow i will be way over the ocean and making my way to new life!! Although it wont make any differences in some ways as still just online, i prob wont get to get online for a while till all sorted out! Even then its going to be at different times and not as much! So ta ra for now and i will be along with updates and pics in next few weeks!!!!

How does......sorry its been ages but heads up butt at the moment with the move! 44 hours, 50 minutes and 17 seconds.......and we will be on a plane!!! ahhhh

yeah i know its been always in my system since was a kid but its gone from a few a year to ....well......this is about 6/7th this year and its the worst ever had..... nice to know all details i know but its all up inside of nose and so bloody sore for such a little thing... Got cream from chemist and he said go docs and get anti viral drugs to blast away and take care as immune system must be low... which aint good with so many people having bugs and flu's at moment.......and me moving in 16 days!!! eeekk,, Sadly the docs are few weeks wait for appointment which means i will either be gone by then or it will be gone!!! hoping warmer climates might help!!!

This is fourth month in a row that the day i have come on i get the biggest cold sore coming up.... last months one scared my top lip quite badly and this time its top lip and bottom of nose bit.... and its very very sore .....more so than any other month!! Anyone any ideas of either how to not get them at all...or getting them healed up quick as there getting more painful each month and also marking skin badly!!!! I currently stuff to keep immune system etc up... take oil evening primrose to try and help hormones, zinc, vit C, echinacea, cod liver oil and glucosmide for joints!!! cheers guys!!!
