  1. I wear my lenses for 17 hours a day & they're comfortable the whole time (but they weren't always*) I wear Acuvue Oasys with HydraclearPlus, not sure if they'd be suitable for you but worth asking. I use Opti-Free Replenish solution which has been a godsend. * when my optician first started me on these lenses he advised me to use another solution and I hated the lenses from the beginning, my eyes were constantly dry & were even worse when I took the lenses out. My vision deteriorated but my optician treated me like I was an idiot so I got a second opinion at Boots opticians. The contact lense specialist there spotted immediately that I was allergic to the solution I was using, it was making my eyes so dry that the lenses were almost welded to my cornea and every time I took them out they were taking cells from my cornea with them which was causing the problems with my vision Since changing to the Opti-Free solution my vision has improved and I hardly notice I'm wearing the lenses. It's for silicone hydrogel and soft lenses, I'd definitely recommend it if it's suitable for your lenses but it's really important to soak the lenses for at least the minimum time. Keep trying different lenses until you find the right ones for you and get a second opinion if you're not happy
  2. Which brand lense are you wearing now & if you use a wetting/soaking solution which one do you use?
  3. Thinking of you, hoping for a miracle but mostly what is best for beautiful Tessie Nige, Tessie and Cliffy
  4. So sorry Nige but so glad you were able to kiss and cuddle Archie before he passed Sweet dreams Archie, until you meet again
  5. How is your handsome bear doing? Hoping you're all ok
  6. Can't watch the video but it sounds similar to the abuse of turkeys secretly filmed at Bernard Matthews when they were thrown in the air and hit with 'bats' accompanied by the sadistic sniggers of those doing so - there are no words. I don't trust any kind of animal farming - the terms high welfare and free range are incredibly misleading
  7. Arfur (whippet/terrier x) sounds like he would be ideal, he doesn't like walks either, if only he were a girl Megan is
  8. Have you looked on GRWE? Not sure about age but they do have cat/chicken/small furry friendly dogs on their website at the moment
  9. Lots of healing thoughts and love to Archie Hoping that the Fugee's good thoughts can give him an extra boost. Huge :GroupHug: to all of you.
  10. :GroupHug: for you, I know how this kind of situation can drag you down. I hope your parents will give you the support you need When my MIL was being incredibly snide early on in my relationship with OH (always out of earshot) I almost became a nervous wreck, it only took my OH walking in one day and hearing what she said for me to get the support I needed. I deal with her now by laughing at whatever she says - it's worked so well that she never comes round. Get yourself strong and as you've started to do get the support you need from wherever you can. She's in the wrong, not you
  11. Sweet dreams Gracie Squirrel, until you meet again Grandma Squigs my heart goes out to you :GroupHug:
  12. I love it when my dogs wag their tails in their sleep I hate it when my knickers go up my bum
  13. My OH suffered from depression some years ago, he saw himself and life as worthless, a bottomless pit, he never blamed me - I echo what others have said, please leave him to his sulks & manipulation and get some support for yourself :GroupHug:

  18. Good luck at the doctors Have you tried 'going' somewhere dry (like a clean bucket?) and then taking a sample from the top where it isn't touching anything. Hope it can be sorted easily
  19. Might be worth contacting the RSPB, magpies are considered pests so might not be protected as fully as other birds. Some info here: http://www.ecotreecare.co.uk/wildlife-conservation.htm
  20. Such a beautiful boy  If you can make use of a portrait to raise some funds please let me know, I'd be more than happy to donate one Sending gentle :GroupHug: and healing thoughts to Patchy
  21. Everything crossed for a good result from the biopsy Sending :GroupHug: for all of you.
  22. That really is fantastic news!! Hoping s/he makes a speedy and full recovery :flowers:
  23. I ordered some stuff which didn't arrive for weeks, was told it was posted the day after the order & she would send a replacement. Then the original order and replacement arrived on the same day, the original order had been posted a day before the replacement not the day after it was ordered (which was about three weeks earlier). I think she must be really disorganised (or overwhelmed by orders ) rather than trying to con anyone.
  24. Sounds like an immature girl trying to impress two immature boys, she probably didn't like the conversation relating to you & not her :GroupHug:
