  1. Sleep tight Lily Oook. Run free in the Summerlands sweetheart Many for all those missing you.
  2. Will be thinking of you tomorrow. Safe journey sweetheart
  3. Oh thank doG Right, now all is righted again, who's coming to the open day then, and making it the biggest and best yet ? ps do DNB have a stall ? If not, does anyone want to do one ? Can be tagged onto the side of our stall
  4. PEDROS BACK Good thoughts still needed for Kane, whose still out there somewhere
  5. Totally agree with you on that one, but can't see it happening Cycas I wish I could answer your post, but again dont want to endanger any future legal proceedings Lets just say that your exeriance sounds similar ! (that sounds like a bad experiance, hope you're ok now )
  6. Claz, Phoae, thank you. If its possible, that would be wonderful One of the missing dogs has been spotted, and there are peeps currently searching in that area. Ok, really deep breath. LisaLQ, firstly thank you for the good thoughts for the missing dogs, the more of those they have the better. The gentleman you say was imprisoned for violent actions was not imprisoned for violent actions, but on a charge of conspiracy. He, along with another, did indeed think of doing an action and talked about it, BUT, didn't actually do anything. Thinking of doing something is concidered a conspiracy and carries heavier penalties than actually doing something. He served a longer prison sentance for thinking of an action than if he had committed a much more serious crime involving human life. But then crimes against property generally do have more severe penalties than those involving life. He was not arrested yesterday, he was not the focus of the police. He wasn't questioned. As he is the manager he appeared in media reports, BUT that does not mean that the police were at the farm because of him. And yes, he truely is a lovely lovely person. Sadly your last post has done nothing to clear up the previous one. Rather the hole being dug has just deepened and been lined with even more patronising judgemental glib totally unhelpful comments.
  7. Spoke to some staff this morning and they thank everyone so much for the good thoughts and wishes. As Heva has said, there is a deep sense of shock and worry about the 2 missing dogs, and a stoic lets get on with it feeling. Apart from the 2 missing dogs (thank you doglost ) the rest of the animals seem to be ok. The staff and volunteers are now concentrating on the clean up and making sure that the farm is safe and secure again. There is an immediate wish list if anyone has these bits ? a fax machine a good fotocopier an anwering machine (there is a chance that this one will be sorted today) For the peeps that have asked about donations, at the moment it will have to be via cheques and post. Freshfields does not have a paypal account (it is now something that they are going to look into), and cannot take fone donations at the moment as the card machine has also been taken, and the new one will take 48hrs to arrive. Freshfields Animal Rescue East Lodge Farm East Lane Ince Blundell Liverpool L29 3EA Prayers now that the next post is that the dogs are back safe and sound.
  8. I dont want to say what, but the charges for the arrests this morning where as a result of that immediate situation and do not appear to be comprehensive pre planned charges (gawd, I wish I could say what I mean ), and all are now released on bail. They do not appear to have been after the manager. No the manager does not live on site. Apologies for being so vague, but I really dont want to jepodise any legal fallouts from this whole sorry incident.
  9. Thank you all so much Will ask them tomorrow what is needed and let you know
  10. Alexis, if you can still get there that would be wonderful. If those dogs need anything right now, its their routine restoring, and part of that routine is the walks and the loving attention that you wonderful walkers provide I would say give them a call, but they have no phones
  11. The staff are in They got in about 15 mins ago, and are still running around trying to assess the damage. Most obvious is the physical damage, of which there is apparently a lot, and all the equipment that has been taken, presumably as evidence ? This even includes the plug in telephones So far there are definately 2 dogs missing, a GSD cross and a collie. They could have been taken, but much more likely they got out in all the chaos this morning People are out looking them now. Kathyw, tonight its just staff allowed in as they need the space to calm everything down, but yes from tomorrow, the volunteers will be allowed in, and tlc will be overflowing Volunteers are most welcome always Most of the staff also have ttouch training too. Will update as I hear more.
  12. Sadly they are not. Having just spoken to some of those involved, they are frantic with worry about their charges. It is not known even whether the animals have been watered or fed, never mind cleaned out, or for some of the more vunerable charges, alive. This afternoon, one staff member was allowed in to see to the urgent cases, and then got out again quickly. They have been told that they will be allowed in this evening, lets hope that that is true. A lot has happened that I cant go into just incase of legalities, but lets just say that no one, two or four legged is having a good day. LisaLQ re your post at 3.06pm today. If ever there was a post that I have found upsetting and insulting, it was that one. If I was to reply as I would like to, there would be very real grounds for banning me which I would prefer not to happen. I would just ask that you do not make presumtious judgements until all the facts come to light. Thank you.
  13. Am so very very sorry Run free in the Summerlands sweet Salada.
  14. Thank you for the reasurrances everyone, they are much appreciated Not so sure that I've done it again, as Freshfields has done it to me again (must learn to say no must learn to say no must learn to say no must learn to say no must learn to say no - or maybe just not answer the phone anymore ) We had some good news this afternoon in that my vet reckons that her heart murmer is more like 2/3 instead of 5, and could of read higher due to the stress of being at the sanctuary. Her bloods are good, and as a result she is having a dental on Wednesday as her mouth is apparently one of the worst she has seen, and is a mass of infected gums with broken rotting stumps that used to be teeth No wonder she has difficulty eating She obviously really needs the dental, and my sensible head knows that she will feel so much better, but my emotional head is going to worry now until I get her home again. Will definately get some fotos up soon, she is such a pretty little lady
  15. Thank you everyone This morning Lily had her first little toddle in the woods after I'd walked the other girls. A walk that usually takes about 2 mins, took about 20 as she had her nose in everything, and her little stump of a tail was wagging, very creakily, but definately wagging lol ! Shes now fast asleep and twitching - I think she enjoyed herself She seems to enjoy being groomed, and no longer jumps when I touch her (she does seem to feel the vibrations) and is already gaining confidence pootling around the house, and seems to be remembering that there are 2 steps down into the garden and is feeling for them We're going to the vets this afternoon for a check up, I want another opinion on her heart condition, and see just how bad it is. I will never ever understand the motivation for abandoning a little oldie like Lily. Never Good luck with your new arrival Schmew Will get some fotos up soon, promise xxx
  16. An update - I was just giving the other girls some supper treats in the kitchen (feed Lily separately as the other girls barge her out of the way and steal her food given half a chance ), when guess who toddled in, nose twitching madly and wanted a treat too Blind and deaf yes, but definately not
  17. An fugee advice welcomed. We have a new family member, Lily a 15 yr old Yorkie lady who is blind and deaf, with a grade 5 heart murmer. Lily arrived on Friday, very scared as to be expected, but now seems to be settling down, and is toddling around the house and garden, learning where things are, and where the walls are and where the furniture is She has found the water bowls (well to be honest she stood in one of them lol), and when her dinner is in front of her, its eagerly eaten (despite the truely appalling state of her teefs ). I have never had the care of a deaf and blind dog before, and any advice about how to keep her entertained and mentally stimulated would be welcomed. I am worried that she is just going to be either asleep on her cushion, or in her crate and just existing Lily has let me groom her (more dredds than Bob Marley), and we have done a bit of TTouch, but am a bit stumped as to anything else. Any advice appreciated
  18. Lots of good thoughts for Snatch. Hope he gets home soon
  19. Oh Fraggle for the Sproggie family.
  20. So very sorry Run free beautiful boy
  21. A beautiful name for a beautiful girl The foto of her having a head stoke, with her eyes closed is just lovely Lots of good thoughts for Maya that she is soon better and boinging around
