  1. I bought mine in scotmid, I can't remember how much they were but they were a lot cheaper than the dog ones.
  2. Two guys I sometimes walk with use folded up newspaper to pick up dog poo. Terri
  3. Synflex which is the liquid form of glucosamine and chondroiten but it gets into the system a lot quicker than the tablet form, the human stuff can be bought at Boots or you can order it from here.
  4. If you are a customer of British Gas are over 70 or are in receipt of benefits you can get a free energy saving device, it's a standby saver that normally costs £19.99. Get it from British gas offers, just enter the code AB3, if you qualify for that one you might also qualify for free loft or cavity wall insulation according to the ad in The Readers Digest. Terri
  5. I'm keeping everything crossed that something can be done for your sisters wee one Terri
  6. Thank you . I've started a new thread with pictures of her. Terri
  7. I took some pictures of Rebecca when I met her this afternoon. She has a full head of dark hair, we've never had a newborn with hair in our family before, they've always been bald. I'm quite chuffed with her . Terri
  8. She's here, she was born at 11.22 this morning after a labour lasting 4 hours 22 mins , not bad for a first baby. She weighs 7lbs 6oz and is 54cm long I'm hoping to get in this afternoon to see her, photos will follow. Terri
  9. You wish, she's much better looking than the rest of us. Looks like it will be sometime today. Terri
  10. Thank you , unfortunately there have been a couple of emergencies so they've not been able to start her, she has her mobile with her so she's keeping me up to date. Terri
  11. I've never done secret Santa but I like this idea and would love to send something. Terri
  12. My daughter Claire who is a week overdue with grandbrat no 3 is being taken in tonight to be induced, there is seemingly not enough fluid around the baby to leave her any longer. This is Claire. this is grandbrat no 3. I've no idea how long it will take but she should make an appearance in the next couple of days. Terri
  13. That's what they've started doing I never knew it had a name though. She is a right mucky pup, she was sitting eating a baby whatsit type crisp, it was one bite for her then one for Arran then another one for her . The dogs are loving having her here as any food thrown from the high chair goes straight into their gobs. Terri
  14. My youngest daughter who should have given me grandbrat no 3 a few days ago ( we're still waiting ) has just joined Emma's Diary which gives so she tells me quite good goody bags for people expecting a new wee one.All you have to do is print of the vouchers and take them to Argos or Lloyds pharmacy. Terri
  15. Ewan ( youngest son ), Janet his oh and Cady have moved in with us for a while, Janet was feeding Cady her lunch and boy what a mess she makes. Mind you she does help with the cleaning up. . It's amazing how you forget how bad feeding wee ones is , from now on she can be fed in the dining room. Terri
  16. Arran ( sheltie ) likes to try and kill all the bikes he meets in the park, pity I don't live in England. Terri
  17. I've just started watching it and am enjoying it very much, I fell asleep during the third one but can catch up. I'm another one that was wondering how no one's missing all these people. Terri
  18. I hated my name when I was growing up, story goes that I was called after a box of chocolates mum got after having me. I was for ever being told that my name must be Teresa and I could never convince people that it wasn't. I felt better when I started spelling it with an I instead of a Y which is a males name. I quite like it now . I wanted to call either of my daughters Victoria Charlotte Anne but mush for brains wouldn't let me. My daughter who is going to give me grandbrat no 3 soon wants to give her wee girl the middle name Ailsa . Terri
  19. That's me , one thing that turns me of a programme is all the sucking ( not vampire sucking I like that ) and f****** that's all they seem to do in True Blood, I'm still watching it though in the hope it's going to get better. Jane you can't be seeing much of it if you shut your eyes cause that's all it is, Sookies brother must have caught/passed on a venereal disease the way he's putting it about. Terri
  20. Ooooo tempting. Arran tries to kill any cyclists that pass us in the park, I can't take him of the lead if there are any about, mind you I couldn't get him anywhere for him to be seen as he just needs to look at a car and he starts to chuck up. Walking along the street with my pair is fun, Abby is trying to get into any car with it's door open and Arran planks his backside on the ground desperately trying to get as far away from it as possible . Terri
  21. I saw somewhere that because Gary McKinnon is Scottish his mother thinks there is no way he will not be extradited. You have to laugh at the way the American government acts, it's one rule for them and another one for the rest of the world. Terri
  22. Thanks again everyone, you've been brilliant . They've at last got around to reading the contract and I think we're okay, they say the flat has to be cleaned to a professional standard and gives a list of companies, it doesn't say it has to be done by a company. I do loads of cleaning to I hope a high standard ( I own my own B&B ) and my other son's partner has a couple of cleaning jobs so between us we should manage to do a good job. They haven't even used the flats beds as Cady had her cot and Ewan and Janet took their own mattress with them. Lester your right about the deposit scheme I couldn't find one in existence up here. Now all I have to do is get rooms ready for them moving in . Terri
  23. Her sister has joined her this year , I'm just getting set up to watch it, I've a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge and a pizza just waiting to go in the oven. Terri
