  1. She is a cracker, and she's staying with us, not being rehomed But there are still four of the babies looking for forever homes...
  2. Betsy's puppies, seven tiny dancers…These gorgeous little pups are all named after famous dancers. Fred (Astaire) Gene (Kelly) Mr. Bojangles (Bill 'Bojangles' Robinson) Lester (Horton) Rudy (Nureyev) Darcy (Bussell) and Martha (Graham) are 7 tiny staffie cross babies. Mum is Betsy, a calm, gentle and loving small Staffordshire Bull Terrier. We don't know who Dad is, as Betsy must have been in the very early stages of pregnancy when she was abandoned at a pound, and the birth of these puppies was unexpected. These gorgeous babies will be looking for 5 star loving forever homes when they are old enough to leave Mum and their litter mates. This will be on November 11th 2010 when the puppies are 8 weeks old. As we are based in Devon, would prefer to rehome the puppies in the Devon/Somerset/Dorset area but we will consider other areas if it is the right home. All potential homes will be required to have a pre homecheck and post homechecks, as well as provide references. We ask that anyone who adopts one of these puppies must take the puppy to training/socialisation classes and they will also need to be neutered/spayed when they are old enough. The rescue can arrange this if necessary with the vet clinic we use, but adoptive homes will be required to cover the expense of the operation. The puppies have been wormed and are all on a worming programme, monthly until aged 6 months. This must be continued at their new home. They will have their first vaccinations at the age of 8 weeks which will be carried out by the rescue. Their second vaccinations, and subsequent vaccinations must be carried out by the adoptive home. We are looking for homes where the puppies will be cherished and will stay for the rest of their lives. If you think you can provide one of them with a wonderful home, please contact us. Please contact Cathy at Once Loved Dog Rescue for an adoption application form. Email [email protected] or telephone 07847 297058 Please note, all prospective homes will be required to have a pre homing check and post home checks. http://www.oncelovedrescue.org.uk Gene Fred (on left of photo looking round to camera) Rudy Mr Bojangles Darcy Martha Martha is reserved Lester Lester is reserved Beautiful Mum, Betsy Betsy will not be looking for a home, as she is staying with us
  3. Tai is an absolute sweetheart. She is a 6-8 year old Staffie X female who came to us from a pound in the South East of England. She was at risk of being put to sleep as she had run out of time at the pound. Tai is very well mannered and well trained. She is fully housetrained, knows all her commands, she is very loving and affectionate and is very fond of cuddles and belly rubs! She loves to play with toys and although she is quiet and calm in the home, she doesn't act her age when she plays. She is excellent in the car, great with children and great with cats and has lived with kittens. She is fine with other dogs, but she does show a slight tendency towards dominance in the way she plays with other dogs, but she has shown no aggression. Tai is a wonderful and wise older lady who is looking for a loving permanent home. She will make someone a wonderful companion and friend. If you think you can offer Tai a home to call her own, please email [email protected] for an adoption application form or telephone 07847 297058. All homes will be required to have a pre home check and post home checks. Once Loved Dog Rescue http://www.oncelovedrescue.org.uk

  5. Lily is a gorgeous tan & white Staffordshire Bull Terrier speyedFemale, aged approximately 1-2 years old. Lily had served her 7 days ata West Yorks pound and was at risk of being put to sleep. She is a lovely, sweet affectionate girl, with a great sense ofhumour and fun! She adores her cuddles and loves people. She's great with children, but not good with cats or livestock. Lily is housetrained. She is quite happy to be left for short periods of timeand is not destructive in any way. Lily has been living with three other dogs – one female and two males for the past six weeks and has always got on really well with them. But, this has unfortunately changed recently, and she has shown dominance towards one of the other dogs. Even though she still gets along very well with the other two dogs, we feel she now needs a home as the only dog, as it is not possible to say which dogs she will get along with, and which dogs she won't! Lily walks nicely on the lead, she travels well and loves going onoutings. Lily is an all round fantastic girl, who is looking for loving permanent home. Lily is fully vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and de-flead. Lily is being fostered in Sidmouth, Devon. Anyone who is interested inadopting Lily will be required to have a pre-home check and post homechecks. Please email [email protected] for an adoption application form. http://www.oncelovedrescue.org.uk

  9. Thank you! I'll need it! Have you seen the charity commission forms?! It's enough to make steam come out of my ears lol!! Well, I'm sure me and the ladies who I have on board now as trustees will be able to put it all in order, but if anyone here has been through the process and wouldn't mind if I asked for advice, it would be brilliant. Thanks again Cathy x

  15. Awwww, just too cute!!
  16. Thank you everyone, for your care and hugs! x Hi Well, I have the room and the time, but not the funds. What is his genetic fault?
  17. Thank you everyone. It's hard when something like this happens, not to want to wrap them up in cotton wool. I turned the ponies out this morning, and Alfie, who is an exceptionally playful pony, was tearing about the paddock as he usually does when he's first turned out in the mornings. Well, I could hardly believe my eyes when HE went and slipped and fell on his back!! He was fine though, but it scared the c**p out of me! He is just one of those ponies that is full of boing and the joys of spring. x
  18. 29th April, just two days ago was a tragic day. One of the horses at the yard where the ponies are kept had a terrible accident and had to be put to sleep. He was a magnificent ex racehorse who had not had an easy life. No one is completely sure how the accident happened, but he was found early in the morning with his leg broken. It may have been that he was tearing around and slipped, the early morning dew does make the grass very slippery. The break was so bad that the vet was called and came to stop the pain. The end was very peaceful, and he died in the arms of someone who loved him. Goodbye beautiful boy, I'm so honoured to have known you, even if just for a short time. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  19. Hiya Thank you You're absolutely right,it isn't easy to look back and think of what they both went through, particularly when they are just so sweet and good natured! Thanks for your reply This video always makes me laugh!!!
