  1. Rant alert!! In the great elf service restructure my post will not change. However 'they' have offered me a choice of 8 admin posts across Cumbria - when only a very small part of my role is admin and minute taking - and offered my job to two job share folks who are at the moment based 20 miles away. My boss is in tears and another of my team keeps hugging me with tears in her eyes. I had to come home early cos I'm always the happy one and couldn't crumble!! I can and will appeal. They have generously given us until 10am Thursday to accept a role or lodge an appeal. Feckerty feck feck feck. I thank you for listening. On another note the father of my friend who couldn't come to Blackpool has been moved into HDU today. He will probably not leave it in this lifetime. Peaceful passing thoughts for him and strength for my friend please. Puts my rant into perspective doesn't it?
  2. This is not a high five moment, Sweetie! Hahaha!! Very Patsy from Ab Fab!
  3. It's one thing I really couldn't do, Yantan - I prefer to worship from affair!!! David Bowie is the man for me but I couldn't bear to meet him in the flesh cos I would just be a dumpy, grey haired lady of a certain age to him - and he may have smellly breath!!! (I don't think so!!) x
  4. Brilliant pics!!! I can almost feel the fresh air! x
  5. Oh snow - my son once paid a fortune for contacts like that!!! I was making lots of comments this morning and can't remember any of them now but I hope everyones breaky bits have a quick and easy solution. I went to see David Essex on Saturday - he was brill. My friend didn't come so I rang a friend that I have known all my life (except the one month before she was born) who lives near my Dad so she came with me and I stayed at my Dad's overnight and had a lovely day in Southport with Dad and Stepmom yesterday. I was going to buy a little DE keepsake for my friend that didn't come but there wasn't any merchandise on sale. I spoke to someone with a Rock Tour 2012 carrier and apparently you could book backstage passes through his website to have your piccie taken with him and have the opportunity to get some goodies - for £25 each!!! Phwar - even if I'd known about it that's nearly as much as the ticket!! It did put me off him a little bit....... Merle - my daughter and her fella saw Breaking Dawn on Saturday and thought it was amazing! I am catching up on the saga via their DVDs but have just discovered The Vampire Diaries on the tele and think I may prefer that...( no drippy woman.... ). Pingu I have a HTC Desire and love it but I am with O2 which has just about no signal around here so don't use my phone for much other than texts and piccies and reading my book via google books so the battery doesn't have any excuse to run down cos I plug it in every night. Looking forward to next year when I can change to a decent provider and maybe a Samsung .... xx
  6. She done great with the 12 stars and she did get 5 in the live trial. She drank the bug juice!!! It's the public that are voting for her ......is it? Who's counting the votes, that's what I want to know!!! I agree it's time to give someone else a go - Hugo or Limahl - let's see what they are made of!!
  7. Oh Happy Birthday!!!!! hope you had a relaxing one and you are both over the Cow Adventure!!!! xx
  8. I have just typed a message here have buddy lost it! So's I will try again laters cos I have to walk Jack Daniel and go to work now. I seriously need a new laptop - the space bar comes off!! - or a new chair for my desk cos it broke and is stuck on low now - I could be typing this with my chin!!! Have a good day y'all!!!
  9. The Monty Python gang liked Spam didn't they?? I have tickets for David Essex in Blackpool tomorrow and we had booked a premier inn so we could stop over and shop the following day. My friend's Dad is very ill and she can't go now. I may still go by myself- but Blackpool frightens me after watching the '999' series recently!!! Oh hey....
  10. I like Helen - she makes me laugh!! x
  11. http://www.animal-rights-action.com/doris-banham.html Doris Banham have Christmas cards - it's where my Jack came from. x

  14. This is a great big huge enormous secret until Monday by when the rest of the family will know but I'm going to burst if I don't tell somebody soon I'm going to be a GRANNY!!!!!! Oh Gosh!!!!!!! I've already been to Next.......... x
  15. Don't know the made in chelsea bod or the pussycat girl but the line up is looking good. Sometimes I can't watch the eaty bits and I shut my eyes, put my fingers in my ears and hum loudly so I don't see or hear what's happening!!!
  16. RMF Lunchtimes are so you can leave the office and SCREAM!!!! I thank you xxx
  17. Happy Sunday!!! There is snow on the hills but it is still colder in Sainsbury's milk aisle than it is standing outside in the Sun without a jacket on! x
  18. Please I would like Lisa's dress please- or Fern's if it stretches!!
  19. Wow - what a difference. I'm very jealous of your haven! x
  20. Good morning all!!! kittycat - you don't have to be one thing or another - you are unique you - don't worry about it. Celebrate the fact that you are in a relationship with someone that ticks the boxes and makes you happy - no matter what gender. (I've no idea how old you are but am pretty sure I'm much older and have given up worrying about the way life goes but concentrate on enjoying it and sod the rest.) xx Friday - at last.......
  21. oh, I've just figured out what WFH meant!!! Thought it had something to do with Fox Hounds at first.....doh!! (but thought that was unlikely!!)
  22. Lots happening on the forum these days and it's great to be part of the community. However I am hopeless at multiquotes so I'll just say hi and lots of hugs!! x Lucky conservatory peeps - I would love one - if fact I would even settle for doors out of the dining room into the garden but as I am housing association then that isn't going to happen. If I was to win the lottery I would be like that bloke in the papers this week and refuse to move out cos I love my house and have the 'alterations' planned down to a T. What I would do tho is offer the HA so much money to buy it that they could build a couple of modern houses in it's place. We'll cross that bridge when the cheque comes in!! hehe!! My friend has just had a callback to the breast screening unit for Friday. We are being upbeat. It's North Cumbria and they were in such trouble a couple of years ago over breast screening that they are having to be extra careful just now so fingers crossed. To take our minds off it tonight we have been planning that she is going to teach me to knit so we can knit some doggy jumpers for the rescues and have been looking at free patterns on t'internet. That'll be interesting!! xx
