I got my Missy back from the vets today after her TTA that was the longest 4 days 3 nites of my life but she is home and have eating drinking and checking nothing had has moved is fast asleep! hooray although she looks a bit like a raggydoll with all her hair missing just to say the patch is her painkiller is looks like a name tag

I cant remember who recommended memory foam as a post op bed but missy loves it! i bought the single size and chopped it up and put a duvet beneath it, it is indead very comfy!!! She is for her cruciate repair on monday and we pick her up on thursday so going to be a long quiet week! i struggled to read the second article as i have tears in my eyes phew! as im writing this i have a missy licking tears off my cheek and thats why we love them so much

oh thats a good idea thank u i have spent the aftrenoon doggie proofing the house baby gates up runner and rugs down thought id get her used to it now shes going to have enough going on when she gets home.

afternoon everyone still very snowy and icy here! Missy has her date now and looks very likely that she will be going down the TPLO route when i spoke to the vet yday he said to get her a large non fluffy bed or a few piece of vet bed to scatter around for her when she is home again but when i have looked vet bed is fluffy! is it a different fluff??! What have u all used post surgery for ur dogs to keep them comfy?

Matt and I are both off today not worth risking it just too icy, so we have a pot of coffee on and then we are going to build a ickle snowman! Hopefully tommorrow is better and we can get in but we will have to see!

Am nursing a very sore toe today had a very vivid dream last nite that kind of woke me up and i tried to get out of bed and prompty fell over (leg was still asleep) eeek!!! whihc then woke us matt and missy who then thought 5.30 was a good time to get up!

Just taken all my xmas cards down and went to take them to boots who usually recycle the cards but they arnt this year can anyone on here use them for anything? seems a shame just to bin them? kate

Happy New Year! Everything looks very pretty here with a heavy frost too cold for missy really very quickly nipped out for a wee and is now back on the sofa in her usual spot, enjoying the peace before all her grannies and gramps arrive for lunch! EEEEKKKKK!!!!

Not sure who remembers me saying about missys limp she has been in for xrays yesterday and she has a suspected cruciate complete tear in right knee and her left isnt great good news is hips and feet were good and no signs of any arthritic change. So we are off to see the specialist at rutland house all the way in st helens my poor baby girl! im ok now had a wobbly week she is my first dog and my greatest love looks like we are in for a TPLO within a couple of weeks so going to have a very quite and empty house for a ickle bit xxx Dont think i have offically offered help but i am on the wirral greasby to be exact if i can help with anything please feel free to ask me. I have been collecting postage stamps if anyone can use them dont have loads but still going kate and missy mooks

I have been reading around on the suppliments as a longer term alternative for missy to metcam when she needs it and the synflex that was recommended on here seems to be the best for her as its liquid and beef flavour but it varies so much in price does £20.00 for an 8oz bottle seem good? or does anyone know of any bargain sites that would be better
