  3. Thinking of you and Bumpy and hoping this is a normal reaction with Chemo. Sorry to hear he has another lump. Sending happy positive thoughts for the bumpmeister
  4. What a lovely thing to do.
  5. Hes very scrummy Would make a fab agility dog
  6. Keeping everything crossed that tomorrows viewing is a success and ideal for you, your family and the dogs
  7. Hiya Siani We've not met yet, but I'm sure we will on one of the White Lodge walks or something. Its great you took on Quin as he is such a sweetheart. If you're interested in agility, you should bring Quin along to our club in Markfield. They're a friendly bunch and its such good fun. I know its probably quite a way from where you live, but we do a 'Giant' breed agility day on the last Sunday of each month (starting in April) and its a great taster session. Greyhounds are classed as giant breeds compared to the ones we do have (Irish Wolfhounds, St Bernards, Bernese Mountain Dogs, Leonbergers to name but a few), but because I'm mad about Greyhounds, Jill who runs the club, puts up with my obsession and allows greyhounds to take part too! There is also EMDAC (East Midlands Dog Agility Club) which runs at Asfordby Sports Ground. They hold competitions there and there is one next weekend (Sat/Sun 19/20th April) - always good fun to go and watch. Welcome to the Refuge
  8. Like that was never going to happen! Took you long enough to announce Wing Commander Mortimer, as one success story, would like to congratulate Rosie on being a Beastly Beast success story - way to go Rosie. Now she will definitely be coming back to our giant breed agility days - wahay Seriously, many congratulations Rosie on being the newest forever Beastly Beast. You really fell on your feet there girl and I think you know it. Chris, you're an absolute star
  9. You have my sympathies. There is no point in going if you're not up to it, as it would probably take more out of you than you realise. There will be plenty of other shows. Concentrate on getting yourself better and then book into another show
  10. Sending positive thoughts for Bumpy Edited because of a double post
  11. Another Leics. girl here, so Alison, Chrissie, Leicslass, Brenda, Holly Hardwick, Rudi
  12. Best of luck with your first competition. The nerves for me are usually horrendous, but nothing compares to the feeling you get after having done your first run. Its amazing! I've only done a couple of competitions and have started runing a gorgeous collie for a lovely couple at our local club (they're not fast enough for her - neither am I, but a bit faster than they are!). We entered our very first competition a couple of weeks ago and got one clear round from 5 runs. I was eccstatic, as were the owners. We all thoroughly enjoyed it, despite the nerves. Go for it
  13. Hope you had a lovely birthday yesterday Sam.
  14. I can't wait either (The cybermen used to scare the pants off me )
  15. One of my friends rescued a 12 month (max) staffie cross whippet a while back (owners had taken her to the vets to be pts!) and later found she was pregnant (too late to do anything about it). I went round to see the pups at the weekend. OMG how sweet are they and mum is just gorgeous. Certainly no killer hunting machines there (unless you're a rug, ball or squeeky toy)
  16. Hope Skyes lumps and bumps are nothing serious and that Con was able to put your mind at ease today. Lucy (Cairn) has zillions of lumps. Thankfully all fatty, although there is one which seems to grow lump on top of lump and gets bigger each month. Because of this we had another fine needle aspiration done on it a couple of months ago and its till a fatty lump with nothing to worry about. Hope the same thing is applicable to the gorgeous Skye
  17. I liked his 'Outstanding' quote to Nicholas about whether he hadn't got his qualifications yet because they were still out standing! I also don't think his short stint on the apprentice will help his career either. he couldn't have talked his way out of a wet paper bag, let alone a court room He really was a pompous, up himself twit (Nicholas) and what was going on with Raef's hair? I expected to see him with a pony tail the way his hair looked, but he didn't have one. It was kind of lumped up on his head I love this programme - it makes me laugh so much!!
  18. I agree. The refuge is a very special place full of very special and lovely people I'm really sorry to hear of your predicament. I can't offer any other advice than whats already been offered. Just wanted to say I hope you turn a corner shortly and something good happens
