Having been reading the topics and adding the occasional comment for several months now, I've just discovered this bit so thought I'd introduce myself. Better late than never. I'm in West Essex - retired and live with husband and varying population of dogs. We foster for several rescues but are both especially involved with the Oldies Club. We have two dogs of our own - a Golden Retriever and a Lab, both elderly. Love to hear from any other doggie people in my area.

And we heard last night that she settled down well when she arrived in her new home - no real anxiety at all. Wonderful, go for it, Hollyhocks!! -

Happy 2nd gotcha day, Ollie - and what a beautiful boy you are.

Very nasty - and a horrible experience for you I agree about telling your local police - might be that they have had other reports of this sort of thing in the area.

Poor Sid - but hopefully that was it and he can now recover. Lots of healing and loving thoughts from Bella, Josie and Holly.

Go for it, Sandy. Have a wonderful life. Our new foster dog Holly arrives today - she's on her way down the M1 at this moment. -
Oh, those ears - what a gorgeous girl she is.

Thinking of you, Olive and sending positive thoughts to Tess.

I know I'm showing my age but in the 70s we had things called splash patches - logos on thickish fabric backing which could be sewn onto things. One with the Oldies logo might be popular - people could then put it on whatever they wanted - dog beds/blankets/dog coats/bags/hats etc.

What a star he is, the darling boy. Love from his number one fans, Josie and Bella

You're a star, Sandy - get well soon, sweetheart. Bella and Josie are sending you lovely thoughts -
I have a similar problem with my old dears except it's a bit more logical than 10pm Mine do the dawn bit - and in the summer that's around 4.30am Maybe you could wake Oscar up a bit earlier in the evening and try to get him to play. He might have his 90min waking time then rather than later and be ready for bed at a civilised time. Having said that, you'll probably find that he refuses to stay awake! Good luck
