  1. OOOO Its a Book...... On my Christmas list for some serious yuletide sobbing. about a 4plus box (tissue) job i think
  2. Whats wrong with the on eyou've got?
  3. Oh and latex gloves for wearing while doing anything a bit mucky and also as emergency covering-- especially barbed wired ears
  4. Someone suggested that if this current idea doesnt pan out..... TT scratting due to minge.. and we go back to the allergy thing that we avoid £400 for tests and give TeddyT Pirotin ( ?) Anyway I have a ctscan coming up to try and sort out my breathing problems ) and I might have to have the house cleaned of potential hazards like spores and mites and allergens. A man came around and told about us a machine that blasts everything with gas and Uv light and kills everything that small pretty quick . It also deodorises so should also deal with the aftermath of my diverticulitis amd TT's flatulence , and hence an end to us giving one another those accusative looks all of the time. The other option is to actually move things around and poke about with vacuum cleaners and carpet shampooers, ( and get an internet bride to operate them , but I fear the memsahib might have something to say ))
  5. Tubes of eyewash solution, space blanket thing
  6. Congratulations I failed at the " trying o find the correct size " hurdle , Are the pics on the website no help?
  7. TT gets a lot of attention and questions from dubious people ( i am one so how would i meet anyone else) But I am rather pleased that he has a weird sense of humour , and goes for any hand that is waved close enough for him to see that has the gall not to contain food, as it gives me an excuse to keep him from getting close. But I must admit that it seems some of the less acceptable behavious that some of us have to cope with is now spreading into new areas. I thing Society may be broken, at least , has lost one eye and had the stuffing pulled out of one ear!
  8. You should always report instances like this to the police as there is always a possibility that the owner may be somewhere in the immediate are but out of sight needing rescue or attention. ( more so in areas where thereis a lot of rough sleeping or homelessness)
  9. Be careful one of these Pendle witches grew up to be a dog rescue driver ( and member here)
  10. We went to the fair, Texas had a sausage and piddled on his dad , but mainly just stared, and was utterly bemused by it all.
  11. Well I was surprised how big an event it was with two arenas for dog comps and the rest of the carnival stuff fitting in around it. Tt had a nice day and it was good training for him, although much of it he found bemusing and very very new. There were a large number of stalls. They have another event at the beginning of August. I should take a stall, as it would be good for further edyficatio of TT before he strats attending our own shows. So I need to find some project to put on the stall. I think we still have a " pressure cleaning day" on silent auction for RDR, so will probably complement that with an " end of tenancy " package fundraising for the Oldies, if that sounds a good idea.. ( This is in the middle of short let land and we have a new carpet cleaner and UV light mattress sterilizer coming shortly) This means only having to take a few posters , gazebo and trestles, I can be a..... sorting stuff to sell. I shall apply and see what people think.
  12. Hydra seem to prefer to sell own-branded supplies to others rather than distributors, hence the price difference, But if you are near a diving supply shop you may be lucky.
  13. I have to admit pinching some of the bulk disinfectant I use for our Swine flu service, basically cos its already in the knapsack sprayer. In fact its just a awatered down version of the discleaner that is recommended for body fluid disposal and corpse reside and it only £1.22 a bottle/ ( firstaid for less.co.uk) I am out of stock at the mo else I would organise a sample. I have never had concern about keeping animals off., but will ask for details. They also have a good range of spill products that I would recommend to transporters. Only use a hand/bottle on a yard, the bigger sprayers are wasteful and make too much mist if they didnt get blocked ( they will if used for amything else ) Think about getting your doggie area pressure washed and possibly resealed depending on the materials you will be surprised in the change of colour and if resealing it will need less daily cleaning. (http://www.kingfisheruk.com/shop.php?page=patio_drive_products) The products have mild antiseptic and anti weed control anyway. I have used Jeyes fluid for years and always understood the tar uptake to be minimal but a lot of people do not like the smell. Jeyes do a special cleaner just for patios ( nonionioc surfacants )that basically cleam of the mildew and moulds , but this then let the UV light get at the germs and such, and the washing removes organic matter! It states that pets and children can use straight away. Because we are in am offical " we cant cope with swine flu area" and live in an area where there is very little pride or concern with the way streets are treated..... * half defrosted chicken yesterday on park bench and whole potatoea in the rosebed, plus a recent fataility due to junki keeping his stash in big metal box he fouind ( rat poison container) many dog owners here was paws upon return to house. The anti weed control used by the council is really bad for animals. Teddy T gets his paws washed anyway now because of grass seeds making him itch.
  14. The vet thinks that Texas' incessant scratching and licking may be some kind of infesting creature rather than the allergy we thought it might be. So we have some Stronghold to try. However the red nose that he had at first has all but disappearred into one small pink spot, and his coat has developed black stripes , and he now has a bandit mask, and a black tail. Tis all very strange. But it does all mean he can go and play inthe long grass again.

    Poor Jem

Thats great news . This chap is almost majestic ...hoodies rule.
  16. Teddy texas hopes to have some new ones after saturday to send with wags and kisses.
  17. Teddy Texas will be going to the Acocks Green Carnival and dog show next Saturday. I dont think he realises what other dogs get up to, so he is for a bit of a shock. Its a chance to see how he gets on under a little crowd pressure-- we have built up slowly--standing outside Sainsbury's for hours and such and going to a different park for long leading---no theatrical people or junkies, which entails a walk up the main road. Dad and co will be in attendance in their new TTT tshirts but just saying hello and not doing anything special for a change.
  18. Yes I did notice the clash of dates. Ok I will get permission from them to take a couple of poster boards and we can sit and watch. and keep the Oldies flag flying. I didnt know in advance I thought it was just a carnival. Sadly I am replacing the wheels on my handcart and it will be unuseable that weekend. Had I been much more on the ball I could have coerced Jude to come and visit and we could have taken the gazebo and the big leaflet stand.
  19. Its my local do. Is anyone going? Is an Oldies presence organised. If not i shall take a couple of a boards and print off some posters. Depend how long Teddy Texas can behave, but a lot of supporters and customers go and have been asking after him. Oh dear lots of hand shaking. Unless they add a " worst grumpiest old ditherer" neither of us will be enterin anything.
  20. Did you tell her about the Councils obligations in such circumastances?
  21. Well No Council elections for Bham so the 200 people in Perry Barr who usually vote for me could stay at home ---(the bar at the dog stadium ) I did the same as a protest at not being able to take teddy texas onto the premises.
  22. The useage of the comment " very game" is a tad indicative of the kind of person involved here. Its a bit of a code word amongst a certain fraternity// take care/
  23. wow you are now a teenager, many happy waggies ...how clever of you to find someone wonderful to look after you/////// TT
  24. The TT ego took a bit of a bash today--he cannot walk on water. In fact he sinks quite quickly. The blossom had collected in that part of the canal because of stillness---not strewn by fans. he is learning. cruel old world innit. Good job he was on the long lead so i knew where to look.
