  5. Lesley this one is nothing to do with the coloured horses.... this one was on a large common area, the problem is no one really knows who owns what there :-(
  6. What a sad morning here, horse hit by a car on local common (people let their animals graze even though the road is awful and theres no fencing) ... horse was pts on the roadside and his mate is stood with him RIP fella
  7. I am loving the pics! My friends oldie mare had colic again yesterday ... this time it was spasmodic, thankfully she seems ok today!..... an emergency late nite dash with flasks/coffee/cake/duvets/hot water bottles to thaw out her rather cold mum took place, this morning the poor girlie seems much better
  8. We've lots of coloured cobs down this way that would love to be used for driving...
  9. Why do horses get sick once it gets dark ... 4 hours in a stable with a poorly colicy horse and thankfully we're looking like we're on the right road, fingers firmly crossed!
  10. Snow, if i remember rightly your mum is in south wales? dad had his cancer (both times) treated in UHW in cardiff (as well as velindre first time) they were fantastic with him.... thinking of you and your mum
  11. Oh no, poor poor baby, sleep well fella , there is a rail line just a few mins from where his family live. Apparently theres a husky pup missing from nearby too, waiting for more info, if i can trace his/her owners
  12. The wise owl beat me to it I actually searched doglost last night, then legged it up the road at 9pm, caught the daughter who called her dad and we had a good chat, they had been told about doglost by someone on a car forum (word sure does get round) i wasnt sure they'd have known, have post on other forums too... I have seen this lovely lad, they live 2 mins from me, he;s beautiful. Just hope he can be found safe and sound!
  13. Missing from the Cefn Glas area of Bridgend, Shadow, male, 1 year old siberian husky, black and white. Had on a red collar when he vanised on monday august 8th. Owner can be contacted on 01656641144, 07896533078, 07833525855, 07538702235. Reward for his safe return!!!!
  14. I think the apology letter is perfect (tho i wish you could tell them to get stuffed!) Alex, i hope you feel much better soon, i've had sciatica for over a week now and only place i could get comfy was in bed, being on tramadol has kicked my m.e so i'm now stuck in bed feeling flu like too, with hot and cold spells/high temp, and the all over aches, i feel your pain!
  15. Glad Fern is feeling better!, my friend has spent 36 hours sitting in with her 30 yr old mare who also had colic, like you we were so excited when she had a poo
  16. I also have a raging headache so sympathise, add to it back ache (trapped nerve)and also hayfever (sneezing when you cant move isnt great!).... Managed to get the dogs out somewhere very quiet yesterday... they are thankfully all out cold after a good play in the garden
  17. Poor poor dog, hope he/she is ok Kelly, I hope Diez comes home fairly happy, bless her
  18. The lobster assures me it isnt sore, but his face when i forced him into an ice cold bath 2 nights ago tells a different story Paxo thinks the hammy is dinner, hammy is now safely upstairs with babygates between down and upstairs for safety reasons, Paxo lived rough for a while and was found emaciated, goodness knows what he lived on, though seeing him out i'd think bunnies were, sadly, on the menu! the lizardy thing is a baby bearded dragon, they grow to about 2 ft long (excluding the tail) so shortly i shall be vivaium shopping, they grow about an inch and a half a month!, this one came from someone i know who got it for the kids lets just say they didnt have it long!.... now i need to pray none of its food escapes, crickets and grasshoppers arent my strong point!
  19. Ahh yes, my lobster.... As some of you may have seen, we failed on a foster dog a few weeks ago, so Paxo joined us... Then someone i was in school with added a few pets to her home, apparently for the kids, something happened and one joined us, so.......... meet Rodney!
  20. I appear to have an extra pet
  21. Diesel has been with me almost 8 years now and hasnt really played as such with any other dog, until Paxo came along!... last night this happened!
  22. He is looking amazing! We had issues with gypsys years ago, a stallion, mare and filly in the field behind where i kept my mares, the stallion was hard work, kept going through fences to get to the mares (resulting in a large bill for injecting 5 mares :-( ) More recently a large gypsy breeder has had hundreds of horses living near me, the local school has 10 thousand pounds of damage to the fields, they cant even hold sports day!.... Having walked the fields regularly I have to say they have some stunning animals there, and i've been lucky enough to catch pics of some, including the beautiful foals
  23. I think colsult down here (bridgend) is £26... gawd i got off lucky!
  24. Amy, was your bill for Louie's lumps that big? Diesel had a dental a few weeks back, he also had 3 or 4 biopsys taken by needle while he was under (we showed them the lumps on the morning he went in for his dental), the bill for the biopsys was £56. his were fatty lumps and 1 inflammed cyst thankfully
