  3. Sounds like I'm in good company I too can't be bothered pussy footing around and telling people what they want to hear now,I'm not rude but if I don't want to continue a conversation I come straight out and say so.Another thing I won't do any longer is accept invitations to something I'm not the slightest bit interested in - in the past I'd have lied through my teeth with some reason I couldn't attend or even worse gone along and been bored rigid for a few hours Now I just say no thank you and that's it
  4. And weather is looking good

  8. When I first moved to UK from Middle East I found the fruit quite disgusting, nothing tasted fresh, lacked natural juiciness and now I know why.Our fruit was seasonal and absolutely delicious,I can still smell the unbelievable sweet white peaches we used to eat.Only fruit we didn't have was strawberries, they won't grow there well at all and I used to love coming to UK and eating them but now they too are just tasteless and don't have that delicious smell anymore.I'd like to get back to eating/buying fruit that is in season - and vegetables too for that matter.
  9. Thought I recognised her, well done Lynne for failing and Annie really is gorgeous.
  10. I've just unearthed a bag with 2 pears in the back of the fridge - with a use-by date of January 25th BUT they are solid, skin's intact,no sign of mould at all. What on earth have they put on/in these pears for them to last so long They've gone in the bin but does make me think there may well be something in buying organic foods.
  11. Elaine but Trixie is rather adorable and just who is Annie
  12. Garlic doesn't work here either.Frontline combo - not ordinary Frontline is what I used last year, this year have gone for Prac-tic - partly cost mostly because vet nurse said it is more effective against ticks which my two get plenty of due to walks on moors/fields with deer, foxes, badgers and plenty of bracken.
  13. Oh great already have a pair of mallards coming daily for food, the female comes up to the front door much to Trixie's annoyance not sure I want a flock of pheasants as well.
  14. Look who's just come visiting the feeder area Taken from my bedroom window so not greatest pic, this is one I managed to take from front door before he vanished First time I've seen one so close to the house, there are plenty in the fields at the top of the Close.
