  1. Glad that they are making progress, even if they are nutters! Hope that Twinkle hands herself in soon.
  2. Sorry to hear about Kiki. The other 3 puppies are fabulous aren't they? I love that serious frown on Kenzie's face!

    Prehistoric Dogs

    Fascinating! Thank you.
  4. Continued good thoughts for Ted. Will he be at the vets for a few days?
  5. Just had an email from Vetmedic as they are selling some short life Fiprospot at half price. Linky http://www.vet-medic.com/dogs-c348/clearance-c814/fiprospot-spot-on-for-dogs-special-offer-expiry-packs-p8892?utm_source=37_More_Stock__50_OFF_Fiprospot_Dog_SpotOn&utm_medium=email&utm_term=311_http%3A%2F%2Fwww.vet-medic.com%2Fdogs-c348%2Fclearance-c814%2Ffiprospot-spot-on-for-dogs-special-offer-expiry-packs-p8892&utm_campaign=37_More_Stock__50_OFF_Fiprospot_Dog_SpotOn here in case anyone can use this for themselves or could send some to Dogstar.
  6. Good thoughts for Ted, hope the op goes well. Owl - hope that you've caught up on sleep and that your car isn't too expensive to fix!
  7. Whoopee! Great news. Glad that you enjoyed the sunshine. I ought to be putting factor 50 on my face to stop horrid brown spots appearing on my skin, but I can't find anything that doesn't give me spots of the ordinary kind. Blimey Trudy, if you ever get the chance to have another treat, eat it really carefully! OH came out with me and the dogs this morning, to take some decent photos to celebrate Fern having been with us a year.
  8. I've just been to Tesco and they had some very nice looking hanging baskets outside. The purple petunia ones were especially good - they were £5 each. Sorry to say this, but blurgh! That reminds me so much of school dinners. It's been sunny here too, you might almost believe that it's time for summer!
  9. I need to order some drontal for Rosie & Fern today, so I'll order a few more tablets for Dogstar.
  10. Grow fat and furry soon Sandy I'm so glad that your family love you enough to enlist Dogstar's help to make you better. Much as I love seeing the photos of the dogs and cats that Dogstar treats, I also really appreciate seeing the photos of the buildings and countryside which sort of sets it in context.
  11. How awful about Lucy, what a terrible thing to happen. Thinking of you Sheila.
  12. Really sorry about Shara Jayne Owl, your poor mum. Poor you too, the system just isn't right is it? Keeping your mum in bed again really will not help with her mobility.
  13. Warm and sunny?! It's cold, dark and pouring with rain here. Your dog walker might not have wanted to be out so long in the rain. Nor Archie! Thank you for your birthday wishes for Rosie. I met a man walking his dog this morning, who pointed at Rosie and Fern, said "they're a bit old aren't they love?" laughed nastily and walked off. So not everyone appreciates gently greying dogs!
  14. Happy 12th birthday Rosie! From this to this (more than a few grey hairs later!)
  15. Happy Birthday Archie! Hope that there is something yummy for your tea hiding in the freezer.
  16. Good grief, hope that you've reached the end of the bad phase and things get better from now on! OH had a mishap with a plank of wood landing on the bridge of his nose a couple of months ago, he had two fabulous black eyes. The shades of purple, green and yellow fascinated the kids at the school that he works at! Hope you have reached Sri Lanka by now. Fingers crossed for lots of incoming money! Well done Wispa for spotting that it's not a giant cat wandering the gardens at night. Don't wear yourself out too much looking after your mum Phebe. Hurray for good news!
  17. Morning Good luck with the run Murtle. I agree that families are nicer if they are simple, I can't see mine working out that way anytime soon though. Hope today doesn't go too badly for you. Today is eradicate the baby sycamores day, which sounds mean but they are the least suitable tree for urban gardens!
  18. Jazz, hope that you get news today and that it's the right news! Sheila - we found it a bit of a shock having a collie cross (who doesn't listen to us) compared to labs and lab crosses. Are you able to post a photo of Zoe please?
  19. I agree, it is sad. I missed the cat first time round too, thanks for pointing that out! I struggled to find a suitable candidate to vote for today in the council elections. I've been wondering, why is it that some places have just one council (like Cornwall and some cities) but most counties have a county council and borough councils too.
  20. Hello Sheila and welcome back! What sort of dog is your foster dog? Have you got your blood test results Griff? You haven't been out in the sunshine for the first time in ages have you? Some medications have the side effect of giving skin problems in sun light.
  21. How exciting about the house Amy, hope it works out! Jayne, would the gym be interested in running some social events do you think? Might bring in some more members for them. You could even volunteer to run something yourself - a quiz or a fund raiser for a favourite charity. Selling raffle tickets to every person at an event is a good way to have just a few words with each of them! Just spotted the collie flower! Fabulous
