yukk .... why do our beloved doggies insist in hunting down the smelliest of all smelly things in the grass and then decide to roll in it, ignoring all shouts of 'NOOOOO' ..... and then think its great stinking of whatever it is ...... its normally foxes poo which is so disgusting all this talk of fry-ups is making me hungry ..... so craving one now but not allowed .... on a high cholestoral diet .... rattling like a gooden at the mo with all this medication me can't decide what the weather's going to do today .... is it going to rain?, in which case I will be up the shops buying school shoes (oh what joy, not!) or its a trip to Salcey Forest with Lady and enjoy the walks/ park there .... mmmm

morning all for you who are not feeling great today my house is packed, 2 children, 3 large dogs and me !!! at least the weather is dry so we can all go out soon and be in open space and get some fresh air

I get stopped a lot when out walking her, most people can't believe she is 7yrs old .... some even say she looks like a pup

Lady had her fur trimmed today and then we had a lovely walk out today enjoying the sunshine. I have finally become brave enough to let Lady off her lead while out walking (although most of the pics below she is on a lead cause we were at the park). She is generally very good and stays close although if distracted by another dog or person she suddenly goes deaf and insists on going to say hello, so we will continue to work on that one. Day 1 of antibiotics has begun ... hope they help but not holding my breath Lady was groomed this morning and she looks so lovely Poor girl had so much matted fur in her paws that the lady said it would have felt for her like she was walking with big pebbles wedged in her pads! I have new pics and will post later. I got all our spring/summer clothes down from the loft. My bed is covered in mine and the kids clothes. Its now a job I wish I hadn't started. But have to otherwise I have nowhere to sleep tonight for Jacqui, hope you feel better soon Michelle: glad to hear Bracken is getting better .... that medication sounds very good. Am watching Mr & Mrs (the kids love it) .... not sure what else is on tonight to watch but fancy an early night again

Thanks. Well my Mum said to me if this 5 day course of antibiotics don't work i should insist in being referred to the hospital for further tests. I have to say my GP seemed to think the answer to my problems was to find myself a nice man (easier said than done... well a single one anyway!) and also get some counselling !! He reckons part of my problem is I am a depressed and stressed single mum and this is making my healing process slower !! He didn't convince me at all that the antibiotics are the answer but he said before anything else I need to give them a go. My favourite filling is mashed banana and choc spread .......mmmmm !!! Morning all, hope you have woken up to sunshine this morning. Taking Lady to be groomed this morning. My daughter has her friend coming round to play. The house looks like a bombsite and I can't be a***d to do anything! Lady has gone back to bed, mmmmm, very tempting to join her

hi everyone have been to doctors and am on another course of antibiotics as i still have the infection in my stomach ..... so see how I get on with these so feeling sorry for myself ..... moan, moan

Thank you for advice I am currently only taking 20mg of Omeprazole a day so maybe like you say, my dose needs to be increased. I have been taking this medication now for a total of 8 weeks so far, which also included 10 days of being on antibiotics. I was doing a bit of research on the internet last night about H Pylori and discovered that they can't now test my blood again. Ho hum, see how I get on today. I have to ring the docs at 8am to get an appointment this morning. Thank you. Will look into that Morning all - a lovely sunny morning for those who need them, especially Elaine and Michelle Hope you slept ok Elaine, and don't look all puffy eyed this morning. Hope you have some better success with Bracken at a new vets. In my thoughts x Wendbert: is something exciting happening today? or are you still not telling?

Thanks Kathy. I have been warned that stomach/bowel related issues are some of the worst for doctors to diagnose correctly as there is such a vast range of things it could be. Hopefully after my visit tomorrow he will agree to do some more tests. I will mention Lansoprazole to him as this Omeprazole I am on doesn't seem to be doing anything. I will update on progress tomorrow! Off to bed now .... so quiet without the children here Night all x

thanks for the info. will mention when I see the doctor tomorrow no he hasn't - well he pushed and poked my stomach and said oh yes you have acid indigestion ... and then took some blood, the results of which came back to say I had inflamation of the stomach lining. I was on antibiotics for this but don't feel any better. The other medication I am currently on is Omeprazole - gastro resistant pills. I still have another 5 weeks worth to take and was going to wait until I finished them, but they clearly aren't doing the job I suspect I have IBS or even a stomach ulcer .... but thats just a guess. off out now to walk Lady again

Thank you for your messages and My docs are so crap. My doctor isn't in today so I couldn't get in to see him and all other doc appointments had gone so I have to ring back at 8am tomorrow to get an appointment for tomorrow morning. I was told if I was that bad then I should go to the walk-in-centre at the local hospital and wait for about 2 hours to see someone there !! Not happy So, I will ring back in the morning to get to see MY doctor who has been treating me for my problem. My stomach was so bad at work that I had to undo my trousers to relieve the bloated feeling ...... trouble is everytime I stood up I had to remember otherwise my trousers would have been down by my ankles which could of been embarassing what is mastic gum? never heard of it on a brighter note, the sun is shining

for you who are feeling down in the dumps I am poorly today, well have been for about 6 weeks now, being treated for acid indigestion and inflamed stomach lining ....not at all pleasant and medication just doesn't seem to be helping should go back to the docs but guess I fear what he might say it is ....as in its something more serious Michelle: hope Bracken is ok, for him May already .... where is this year going? My son's birthday in 3 weeks .... he keeps harping on about how other 8yr olds have mobile phones so can he have one please ..... not happy when I refuse - is it me or are kids growing up too quick these days?! I was about 18 yrs old when I got my first mobile phone !!!

yes I can, but I was trying to train Lady so that she knows she can do a poo in the garden if she is desperate, and not have to wait til she goes on her walk, as she will wee in the garden no problem but its probably not worth the hassle and confusion and my family will just have to understand that she will need to go down the road a bit first thing to relieve herself until she goes on her main walk

can't believe Scooby still hasn't been offered a home, he's such a cutie and sounds like he is very well trained now, all credit to you Michelle just a shame he won't get on with other doggies the children still ask about him and I always look on here for updates

thank you this morning she had her usual morning wee in the garden but again waited an hour until we went on our morning walk and then literally 2 mins down the path she did her poo. bless her I think it bothers me more for when she goes to stay with my ex or my parents when I go on holiday ...... as they will be ones to put her out in the garden for 'toilets' until the time they want to take her for a walk, which may be much later than she is used too. Obviously I will tell them what she is like and trust them to do whats necessary.
