  1. A great success for Oldies Club and everyone involved in the weekend! A few special thanks... To Lynne and Amy for manning the stand on Saturday (and Amy's yummy biscuits!) To Catherine for helping on Sunday and for donating the toys and treats To Lyndsey for helping on Sunday and for making the biscuits To all the lovely dogs for giving up their time to help other canine friends and a special THANK YOU to Val, as Regional Co-ordinator for the area, for putting so much effort into organising it and being the driving force behind the event.
  2. Ooooh, haven't managed to keep up on here for ages and now I see a new little girl has arrived! Beautiful, beautiful girl
  3. I've submitted a couple of eye-wateringly ugly items but, with hindsight, I'm not sure they'll be allowed I'd quite understand because they are truly hideous!
  4. Ryan is top of the page. Look!
  5. What a wonderful achievement for Ryan! Thank you so much to Gail and Ryan Would you mind, Gail, if I added a piece about the walk to our Events Stories page, maybe with a photo too?
  6. Auction now live!! Doc Martin Auction
  7. Fingers crossed that Ryan has good weather! He's been featured on our Events page on the Oldies Club website
  8. Bidding starts this Thursday.....
  9. Are you sure? I had a feeling there was more than one judge now confirmed...
  10. Hmm, I wonder if Amy has managed to get another very exciting high-profile judge lined up?
  11. Jack is just lovely, isn't he! Dougie is definitely a plank That's such a greyhound thing! I've got so many photos of my lot cramming themselves into cat beds and my parents ickle dog beds
  12. For those who need a reason to persuade OH's to come along.... Charlbury Beer Festival The campsite will get booked up fairly soon so I wouldn't delay with booking.
  13. What's the need to stand up when you can drink as much as we did?
  14. Can everyone drop a note in here to say if they book a pitch (how many and who for) so we can keep tabs on expected numbers The campsite can't book us in one large group so it's probably just as well if we don't ask on each call. If they think we're desperate to be near one another then we might be split up like norty children
  15. I think it's best to buddy-up in 3's if possible - or particularly if you want to ensure you're next to someone you know - and then one person from the mini group could call to book the pitches for their party.
  16. Newsflash! I've spoken with the campsite and they're happy to have us back They're not taking large group bookings as guests who want a quiet getaway for two can find it intimidating which is a very fair point. They've said they way which we can aim to get around this would be to book in blocks of three - so one person can book up to three pitches. It's pot luck as to whether the next caller gets allocated space next to the previous caller. They currently have plenty of availability for the nights of Friday 3 July and Saturday 4 July right across the campsite but I would suggest booking early to avoid disappointment, especially for the Pods or B&B. The campsite has great amenities and is in a lovely location so, even without being in a large group, we think it's still the best option. The campsite contact details are; Cotswold View Caravan & Camping Park Enstone Road Charlbury Oxfordshire OX7 3JH Freephone: 0800 0853474 Tel: 01608 810314 Fax: 01608 811891 Email: [email protected] Website: www.cotswoldview.co.uk Seeing as the Saturday will be Independence Day, maybe we could have an American themed night for doglets and hoomans alike On your marks....get set....start booking!!!
  17. That's Glastonbury and someone (sorry, my brain has fried) has mentioned they can't do that. I'll look into things this week and will update again shortly. Hopefully we'll be able to please the majority
  18. OMG! The pods look brilliant!
  19. Aww, Tricks, you look like my sort of dog I hope the oven serves you well today! Happy Gotcha Day lovely boy
  20. Knock, knock, knock. Can I come in? Erm, I have a full 187 pages to read back as well as the end of December that I missed so I might be gone a while I hope everyone is well. I haven't even been lurking, just don't seem to have found the time lately. Have been missing you all Oh, Claire, thank you for the Christmas card (that's how far behind I am!)
