  1. The last of my deliveries for Secret Santa presents should be here before the end of the week so will be able to post my pressies out this weekend.
  2. Kimba's Sectret Santa pressie has arrived, has been put away somewhere safe to stop the hounds from opening it early. Thank you Secret Santa
  3. Kimba never used to be that bothered about balls, until he got really into flyball, now they are about the only toy that he really obsesses about, Richard (the Sane) got a great sequence of Kimba with Charliegoo (Goosters dog) last summer: Charliegoo beats Kimba's ball obsession any day!!!
  4. I'm another Synflex user here, my little pointer who has big problems with one of his elbows showed a huge improvement on it, I give it to the others as a preventative measure cos its done so much good for him

  10. So sorry Jen Gallop free at the bridge Nemo
  11. He is absolutely gorgeous Jacky - son't leave him unattended when I'm next over there, he might go missing!!! I have a real soft spot for scruffy JR types. Can't wait to meet him in the flesh
  12. Fab piccies - I love to see these horrible dogs doing their thing I always say that my dobe, Kimba, is the only one I would completely trust with children, he is so careful with little people and the worst thing he would ever do if he got really fed up is stand up and wlak away. Must get some piccies of him with my other half's daughter, he's as big as she is!!!
  13. That place looks absolutely gorgeous, as do the dogs as always . Very random fact - I've just started going out with a bloke called Stef too - but it is defo a different one from the one in the picture!!!
  14. E-mail sent - really looking forward to this again this year - will be Roi and Jack's first secret santa experiences!!! Thanks again Phoebs, you must be mad!!!
  15. My Mum and Dad's last Scottish Terrier was diagnosed with Cushings, her main symptoms at the time were excessive drinking and therefore urinating. She went on the drugs for it after ACTH testing and did really well, and had continued testing as Reds suggested every 3 months or so to check how it was all working. Her drinking was brought under control fairly quickly and so her urinating improved. The one thing that we did really notice was the change in her temperament, she was always a fairly dominant bitch, but she did become slightly unpredictable with other dogs, some days she would be absolutely fine with anyone, other days she would take a dislike to the same dogs and have a go at them for no apparent reason, probably due to what her hormones were doing that day, we dealt with this pretty easily by only letting her loose to play with my dogs who could all stay out of her way if they needed to, if there were other dogs around she would be kept on lead just in case. She lived a further3 1/2 years after diagnosis (I suspect more like 4 - 5 years from when she started sith the actual disease) and we eventually lost her to cancer at the age of 12. Any questions PM me, I can find out the details of meds etc from Mum if you want.
  16. My meat was all delivered fine with no problems, but I don't have any chicken cos 1 of mine is allergic and another one won't eat it!!! The rest of the meat looks great, just gor some out ready for tomorrows breakfast so will see what the hounds think of it. The ribs look great too, I know my lot will love them.
  17. Me too, I guess that means they will be coming from my house to your house then, I'm going to set off home in about 30 min, so hopefully it will have been delivered by then!!
  18. I've placed my order and it should apparently be with me about 2pm today, I'm interested to see what it all looks like, the prices are about the same as Landywoods so if the quality is better I will defo be sticking with DAF. They were really good on the phone and helpful about delivery times etc.
  19. Cheers Alex, I'll give him a bell later on cos I could do with restocking in the next week or so
  20. So sorry Wendy that must have been a terrible shock. Sleep well Dolly, run fast and free at the bridge and look out for your mum
  21. I was thinking about using DAF for my next order instead of Landywoods, but it sounds like their delivery is even less reliable than Landywoods!! Alex, let me know if you find out when they are next coming to Manchester/Cheshire cos I will be due another delivery in 2/3 weeks so it might fit in well.
  22. Thank you very much everybody, still haven't quite taken it all in!!! That would seem like a sensible plan - except that he is a complete prat trying to work him in a group - so showing is a bit of a no go area with him, he tends to spend more time on 2 legs than 4!!! Hope all the poorly horses feel better soon
  23. Fantastic news Wendy, give Dolly a gentle hug from me and my choccie hounds when you get her back
  24. Sounds like everyone has been having a fab time, those photos and video are fab Claire, Loki is looking amazing. Glad to hear Blue is having fun (and you of course) Jayne, would be lovely to see some piccies of you on him again at some point. Sounds like Kane is having fun too - you both seem so much happier at your new yard, and it is a lovely place. I had a rather exciting weekend, it was the national dressage finals down at Melton Mowbray (UK Riders) and I had qualified Apple for the novice and elementary. I decided to take Will with me as well for the trip out and for the experience, so I travelled them both down on Saturday afternoon in a little 3.5T box that I had hired, they both travelled really well even though Will has never been in a box like that before and it is a 2 1/2 hour journey. Got there only to find that they had only reserved 1 stable for me instead of the 2 that I had had confirmation for, much stressing later I got a 2nd stable allocated, but all the stables were temporary and had been put up on a field that was waterlogged so that stables were all pretty damp!!! The boys settled well, Will's eyes were a bit out on stalks for the first few hours, there were about 200 horses stabled there for competing the next day so loads going on, Apple just set into his haynet and let the world go by as usual!!! Sunday was competition day but I wasn't riding until 5.20 so I had all day to watch the others competing that were from the same centres that I compete out, was a really nice atmosphere, none of the usual snooty dressage people!!! We did the novice test in the outdoor arena and I was so pleased with Apple, we have never done a better test and he has never gone better, fantastic feeling. We then had about 45 minutes until our elementary test, gave him a quick rest then warmed up again, the warm up arena was heaving with people which normally sends him loony, but he was fab, then went and did our elementary test in the indoor - which he also doesn't like cos we never get to practice in one!! He was a little tense but generally really good. The big news is... We came 7th out of about 40 in the novice And 2nd out of about 30 in the elementary I am so proud of my little pocket rocket, I was in the line up for presentation of the elementary surrounded by 17hh + warmbloods in double bridles and there was me on my little nearly 14hh, 18 year old ex jumping pony in a snaffle, he was an absolute superstar all weekend and took everything in his stride. Apologies for the long post, but I is very pleased with my little lad and everything we have achieved together
