You can Wii at our place MrsB - if you every visit again! Hi all, I'm back in here again. The 2nd year of my big plan. I'm playing the long game. Last year I did my diet and I lost 6 stone. I stopped dieting to give myself a break and I've kept the weight off. It's about 10 months now since I finished the 'diet', so I decided this week it was time again, and I'm back on it again to shift the rest of the weight I want to lose. Probably another 3 / 4 stone if possible. But I will play that by ear. Well done to everyone who is losing!!!

There are rumours that she will be using it at the next Wiccs show to stir a certain someones tea - but I digress............... Hi Ulla, Have the owners been back in contact with the breeder to see if they will take him back? Do they know it hasn't worked out? Just a thought as you say his parents are KC registered and they do obedience with mum. Obedience folks usually like to know where their dogs are. Its worth a call. If we don't give the breeders chance to do the right thing, then they will never know things don't work.

The item is for 2 spaces on an Understanding Your Collie talk at Wiccaweys There are so many misleading pieces of behavioural advice out there, and people really struggle with it, so Wiccaweys run a basic 'Understanding Your Collie' talk. You cannot correctly understand and solve problems with your dog, unless you have a basic understanding of him or her and their natural instincts. We discuss accepted behavioural 'theories', and how they fit in with the Collie instinct. We'll talk about what makes collies so special, and why they are so misunderstood in 'mainstream' training - which is odd when you consider they are one of the most common dogs around. We will talk about the history of the Collie and how they originated. These sessions start at around 10.30 - 11am, with a break for lunch, and then half an hour one-on-one for everyone attending for any questions they may have with their dog. We finish with a discussion session for all. These sessions cover the VERY basics, which seem to be ignored by all other classes, giving you an overview of why collies behave in the way they do. You do not have to have a collie to attend, but if you do, bring him/her along - along with your normal walking lead / collar / harness, etc. WARNING: We are absolutely honest, blunt and to the point. If you don't agree with our advice or suggestions, that is up to you, but we will not get into arguments about other behavioural theories - these sessions are to learn the way we at Wiccs interpret collie behaviour - not an excuse for an argument over other people's theories. You must be open-minded and want to learn the Wiccs way of understanding collies. The dates for this years talks are below, you may choose the date to suit you. This item is a A day's dog walking & collie whispering at Wiccaweys You know you want too..... spend a day with the collies, walk them, cuddle them, throw them I mean throw balls for them, basically get covered dogs, hair and mud and have a good time! If you are lucky, we might teach to you speak collie too........ One of our dog walking team leaders such as Whizzie or Alexa will be on hand to boss you about show you the ropes. Lunch is included, and your own dogs are very welcome to come and join in the fun. It's basically a collie holiday camp! Date to be arranged to suit. Faces like these need you....

The event will take place in Rugby on Tuesday evening, 14th July 2009. The super wonderful Mary Ray is once again performing one of her amazing and awe-inspiring Cabaret Evenings to help raise funds for Wiccs. Bloody fantastic news!!! That's made my day. To both Mels' for keeping faith.

Charlie is Blue Roan Cocker Spaniel, but looks more charcoal than blue, she is 5 years old, and had her last litter of pups 3months ago. A friend of a Wiccaweys volunteer got her from the breeder yesterday, they do not have a photo. Charlie is wearing a bright blue new collar, but is not known to be microchipped. She has no ID disc either as they only ordered one yesterday after getting her. Charlie escaped from their garden in Whaley Bridge (SK23) this morning, and has been sighted by several people in the area, but runs away when approached. The last sighting was at the local farm just off Whaley Lane. When the Farmer approached her Charlie ran off up the fields. If she kept going she could be heading for the Cheshire border, possibly Pott Shrigley/ Lyme Handley area. Charlie is probably very frightened, as until now, as far as is known, she has only been used for breeding purposes. The local Vet, Dog Warden, nearby kennels, pet shop and Police have been notified. Nancy the new owner is reluctant to contact the Breeder, but I have told Carol to encourage her to contact them as soon as possible in case Charlie is trying to head back there. If they are a decent person they would want to know! Carol is helping Nancy as much as possible and can be used as a contact point. Just spoke to Celine. The following dogs have spaces: Flash Gordon - Lurcher Blind Spaniel Reg - Border Collie Sage - Terrier Onion - Terrier. The rest still need help. Deborah, the behaviourist/trainer has backed out of taking Fly. South Glouc DW had him neutered and vaccinated in the anticipation of him going, and now it isn't happening.

You and Mr Squirrel carry on believing that...... Me, I need to change my knickers again as I am still snorting with laughter! *No Granma Squirrels were harmed during the making of this years fancy dress competition.... However, several dogs and and one cat may be traumatised for life...*
