  1. I need a 4/5 berth motorhome for the middle of June, as Fugees know the answers to most questions I thought I would ask here if anyone knows of a reputable hirer.

We have heating Helly, it was the condenser outlet, to solve any future problems OH is now re-routing the pipework to an inside waste pipe. It has to be Daddies brown sauce with egg & chips, much as I love tomato ketchup, it doesn't quite have the right flavour for egg & chips.

Greetings from the arctic circle Thanks for the info Helly, thats probably the cause of our problems with lack of heat, I'm scared to cry just in case of icicles. I am wearing the contents of my wardrobe and still trying to put more on, I can barely bend my arms Just rung my little plumber, he'll be here in half an hour.

Brrrrrr! So much for modern heating, just 2 months after installation our central heating boiler has packed up! The old one was original to the house and after 50 years of perfect service we sacrificed it for modern efficiency. It's going to be a cold night in this house.

My kitchen units have arrived I have existed without a functioning kitchen for the last 6 months, at one stage I thought we would have to cook christmas dinner on the BBQ. Just another few days and I can start unpacking all the kitchen stuff in boxes scattered around the house.
  7. My milkman has delivered bread and milk this morning, bless him. At least I know my eldery eighbours have some essentials. We can't move the car off our drive, the slope outside our house and the estate road are just pure ice. When OH came home from work last night he got the pickup three parts the way up the slope then slid right back again and hit the kerb on the opposite side of the road! Thank goodness no one drove round the corner while that happened. ......and its snowing again
  8. Oh Saffy, Andrea turn her round that side is done!

Hapy New Year everyone. This year has just got to be better than the last few, mine has started pretty well, I hope yours does too!
  10. I too cried when my son gave me his present, a ticket to Le Mans 2010 !!!!! It's something I have always wanted to do, I was so gobsmacked. I love my Rob
  11. Yaaaaaaay!!!! Plasterers have finally arrived, by my reckoning almost 2 weeks late. I may just have a kitchen in time for christmas, its been horrendous trying to work with just a sink unit & cooker for months. Sorry for not reading back, I hope that covers all posts I've missed. PS Things are still not happy with Flynn, all doglets are getting stressed with the situation.
  12. I haven't lost my phone just misplaced it. It could be in one of the boxes of kitchen stuff packed and forming barriers around the house. Not been around much, working looooong hours on the kitchen, and the plasterers have been delayed. My new kitchen arrives in 3 weeks, I hope we are ready in time.
  13. Why does DIY give men the will to make the annual Darwin Awards? I was promised a new kitchen for Christmas, only to be told "I didn't say which Christmas"
  14. Gooster, I know exactly how you feel. We have a similar situation here that only started recently, after taking advice we have come to the very sad decision to re-home Flynn. Luckily he came through pointer rescue service and although they offered to take him back, the decision was that if I could find him a new home all the better. I'ts been most interesting to read this thread, I don't feel that I have failed Flynn, (thanks to a lovely conversation with owl) Flynn needs a home as an only dog, or perhaps one other more mature dog. I hope Wilf finds his ideal forever home soon.
  15. Anyone know anything about caniX? I could do with a bit of guidance about it please.
  16. Well, thats it! Decision made and wheels etc in motion. I'm so down, looks like the booze cupboard will have a belting tonight.
  17. After much distress and soul searching, we have to find a new home for Flynn. With full agreement from Pointer Rescue Service, Flynn needs a home, possibly as an only dog, due to food agression issues. If anyone requires his history please PM me, I will be only to happy to give all the details. Flynn is 2/3 years old, very affectionate and extremely handsome, Flynn also requires a lot of exercise.
  18. Failure is not something I'm used to, but I have to admit defeat this time. I haven't been online for ages, too wrapped up in my own little world and problems. It looks as though several could do with a bit of a
  19. What's on your mind?

  20. Bought a packet of fruit gums today, haven't had any for years and I love them. Trouble is I have pulled a crown off a tooth chomping the bloody things.
  21. For Kathy. She is a very brave lady and my thoughts are with her. While I was in the plastic surgery unit a few years ago, one of the patients had breast reconstruction surgery. She said how painful it was, but worth it. She was so proud of her new boobs, she insisted on everyone having a look! I admit I was mightily impressed, they looked fantastic. Well done Kathy,
  22. Thank you Anne, that has been terrific help
  23. Oh, I should add the dog is travelling to his forever home in Germany.
  24. OK all knowing fugees, what are the rules for taking a dog across the channel? Are there any restrictions re Vaccs & microchips? If anyone knows please reply ASAP,I need this info this morning. Thank you
