  1. my hoover lives out, there is no getting it out it lives free.
  2. aw very sweet of you to comment on said son. No don't lower the tone though, have already had to speak to mrs ook about such matters! ie her thread (joke) Have given up smoking, very boring. Am fuming with ex OH. end of my rmfs
  3. I used to live in Chells manor, walk them mainly street walks in this area but also go to Fairlands Valley Park sometimes. What about you?
  4. my rmf is that it's my son's birthday tomorrow so hope I have an excuse for gratuitious son pics. He'll be 22. with the GF in Paris, who is tonight at home making him a birthday cake. Aww. think hat is glued on. Happy birthday Chris.
  5. me too am near the old town, where are you?
  6. it's very easy, you just need to ask a solicitor to prepare you a statutory declaration, cost me about £70 recently, all you need to tell them is your new name and they'll do the rest, which you then sign and have witnessed independently at another solicitor's which takes all of 2 minutes and for which they charge you the princely sum of £4 I think and there you are. And then you spend ages going through the process of changing your name with every organisation you can think of which is the time consuming bit!
  7. hey i'm in Stevenage, if you are here again come and have a cuppa if you have a mo! Lu has had the very very very bad squits since I picked him up this afternoon, at 12 1/2 and nothing but bones am am bit concerned so will see how he is tomorrow if he needs vet or not
  8. hello just got back from weekend in the New Forest, not caught up yet so hope everyone ok, took Harry and he had a great time on the beach and in the forest. Bit of drama on sunday though when a panicked deer appeared running along the very busy beach and was chased into the sea by a dog it spent about 20 minutes pretty far out in the water before it was rescued, very upsetting to watch but could have had a much worse outcome. BBC deer story Just collected other 2 dogs from ex husband, they are ok, but he can't look after himself and his house never mind dogs so will be the last time they go there.
  9. glad it's not just me! didn't understand it at all
  10. from all Shad's old friends here xxxx
  11. we had a great walk thanks, lovely to meet everyone and to see all the dogs having such a fantastic time. I have some pics but I don't know how to upload them using vista, no idea how to shrink them small enough so have to wait for some clever person to do it or explain it in due course. Dogs are washed, fed and fast asleep.
  12. Helen .................... though.
  13. Just been to see my son in the band he's in, they were were supporting Miles Hunt (of The Wonder Stuff) twas all very good and I never even go out so made a change!!
  14. would love to come if I possibly can, am in Stevenage so not far. this is nice, Northaw Great Wood and not far from Welham Greeen.
  15. hello, not been here for days so hope everyone ok. RMFS: Millie had dental last week, one tooth out so not too bad, was very unwell after the anaesthetic but is ok now. Am without dogs for the weekend, ex-husband has them, nice to have a break from feeding walking etc but I especially like the walking so feel at a bit of a loose end. What do people do who don't have dogs???? Is OH's birthday so his parents are coming for the weekend and we have actual going out and socialising to do . Amazing.
  16. Um Just got divorced, rapidly dwindling money, crappy job for crappy money (although working with very nice people) worried about the future/money/housing/dogs but am surprisingly very very happy. But why? Never mind, I am so that's what matters! And nice to know others are too
  17. for the beautiful Aswan and for you and Ray. Jo xx
  18. that's been on our news here all day too at least on the radio. I agree with you..who can possibly be interested in her? It's not news it's gossip. RMF: Millie is having a dental on tuesday at vast expense but she needs it so it's got to be done.
  19. Hope everyone had a good Christmas, ours was very nice, best for a long time. New OH shared his turkey with the dogs and cats (he's not veggie like us so they thought twas the best ever undreamt of treat) lots of horrendous farts and other things resulted. I 'think' I am divorced, was meant to be final on 21st but not heard anything due to Christmas post, possible-ex-husband turned up unannounced on Christmas Eve to see son, who was out but came back when I phoned him. In spirit of Christmas no one flattened him despite extreme desire to. Have been working before Christmas which is mainly drudgery type cleaning job, but I am NOT moaning as I like it, however some dogwalking involved so I have been having nice long walks with a lovely Doberman and GSD and some Newfies to walk when I go back to work Oh and Millie busted a claw and Lu had a bad turn both on Christmas day but he seems better today and she's a galgo so very tough and busted claws are just like nothing to them not like puny greyounds! (sorry greyhounds, no offence!)
  20. Think your son sounds lovely, you must be very proud of him, my son did similar once when out with his mates, found a lost dog and reunited it with its people and I knew I'd done something right with him and he was quite grown up at the time but to me that's what it's about! for your son!
