Don't worry if it goes wrong, you know you have the best dog there I've been competing for about 4 years now and only this year are we approaching anything like consistency at shows - we all have to learn and have our first show Work on getting Jess focused on you before you start, so play with her or do some tricks or control exercises in the queue or on your way to the ring.

Good luck! Nerves are good, if I ever get to the start line and am not nervous I am invariably crap! If you are worried about falling over, what shoes are you wearing? I wear football boots for muddy/wet ground and astroturf boots for normal ground
-
I use these alot at shows and would definitely recommend the ones that you hammer in (if you can get one) as the corkscrew ones can be difficult to get into hard ground

Well done to you and Monty! I'm going to close this now and start April's thread

I've moved this into contro as it will undoubtedly prove to be so! Please remember the rules of this forum: Keep it civil and refrain from getting personal. Personal attack will NOT be tolerated. Threads that get too personal will simply be binned.

Bad luck! You might get lucky if you post on Agilitynet desperately seeking and fleamarket? But i'm afraid you can't have my pass

David, Catherine Tate But looking forward to it! -
Well it's the last 8 weeks of my degree and i'm riding a wave of stress! I'm currently finishing 4 bits of coursework as quickly as possible so might manage a few days of revision Anyone else in the same boat and like a place to vent? Or even if you're just finishing years 1/2 etc of a degree, that is pretty stressful too! Nic

I used to get wrong numbers for 'Dial-A-Ride' as they were one digit out..... i'm sure that casts aspersions on my character

How about a meet at UKA 6th April?

I'm so proud of Jay, one of my aims this season is to get to an Olympia semi, to do this you need to come in the top ten of the 6/7 Agility qualifiers. We went to Easter Celebration yesterday and Jay worked his socks off and we came........ 12th! Not quite there yet but it's a very good start We also got a clear in 6/7 jumping but left before presentations so don't know if I got a place. Video

Good luck! You will have a good time, I believe the weather this weekend is better up where you are than it is for us southerners - I think I will be out in the hail on saturday and snow on sunday! We'd love to see any pics or videos if any are taken - check out the videos thread below for some of us competing/training. Anyway, missing a weave pole - either put him back in at the pole he came out or go back and start again. If you carry on without doing them properly you will get eliminated (E'd). It's classed as a refusal if the dog comes off the A Frame before the down ramp, or if he comes off the dog walk before the down plank - if this happens, go back and start the obstacle again. Here is the official marking scheme for KC rules (I've taken out those which I think will be irrelevant - like the table!) Hope this helps!:

Here's the museum 'how to get here' page - might help? link

This is my tent, which I use all summer for agility shows. Lots of places sell it, and Khyam do other ranges as well. Khyam freelander I chose it as it has a 'living room' which can be stood up in/sat in in a chair, which is essential for rainy weekends! It's also a 'quick erect' system which means it is easy to put up.

Here's a video of our best run at mid-downs (all the others were terrible!) Jay
