Sam, I have the advantage of not having a Squirrel sized suture headache at the moment, so look what I've found on PeasyFundraising - "The retailer I want to purchase from is not listed Please contact us with the name of the retailer you would like to see listed and we'll try and sign them up to the programme!" The linky's on this page - http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/faq/#m15 Would you like lots and lots of Fugees to suggest them?

Elricc I am very pleased Owl is no longer occupying laybys. Also that baby Spin decided sausages was better than being on the run. Partly selfishly as having realised that Milo was roaming Clumber Park which is within -ish distance for me I was feeling I ought to add in my help, but have an unhappy back/shoulder which has been harrassing me for a few weeks (feel a wimp about it 'cause everyone else on here is far poorlier than me) so wasn't fancying doing the drive over there. Today has been about getting jobs done in small amounts (as per my very nice physio-man's instructions) and waving my arms around lots (also as per my very nice physio-man's instructions) - although he did suggest that I did it when no-one was looking, in case they thought I was - so I gave him a Mrs B look and said that I really didn't care. We did reach an agreement that I wouldn't do the arm waving stuff in Tesco's though. I have had an 'idea' about altering a spreadsheet - which is why I'm on here ...... so why am I not getting on with it ............ ?

Any chance of you popping to your fundraising event in London via Lincoln? That way I could donate some pilchard cake and cheesey biscuits, and feel as if I was supporting you a tad more than I do! There's pilchard and garlic too if you're passing. I'd even throw in some Mars Bar Cake for the overworked Trustees.

I was in the "who is Joe Flanigan" corner too - but I just thought I was being too ignorant to even admit it. Also in the "Stargate"?!????!! confused zone too. Bluetooth is fab. Arrived home from work to a message from a fellow Committee member/mate telling me of potential ructions. As I knew this would be a l-o-n-g conversation which would mainly necessitate loads of listening, I rang her on bluetooth. So, during that conversation I managed to unload the car of cakes and eggs, cook my dinner, change the dog bedding, bring in the rubbish bins, sort out the week's washing, pay the (confused) window cleaner, drive down to my friends and dump off a load of logs for her stove, drive to another friend to collect my dog food delivery, and check for e-mails concerning said potential Committee ructions. Think I might just go back to bluetooth and discuss gluten free cakes with a couple of folks, before alerting someone else of Committee Ructions so that I can get a few more jobs done!

    Is Snow excited about something?
  6. Mags, I'm so sorry to hear about Porsche. It sounds as if she had a good life, albeit it too short - and what a stunning looking cat too. Please don't go beating yourself up about 'what if I had looked the night before' - from what you have said it really doesn't sound as if you could have changed things. Here's hoping that the test results next week are all good - I'll be thinking of you.
  7. Yes, well, I've been out of things rather too. Messenger me-lady! (Occasionally even I remember to turn it on!) Meanwhile, it's called Jungle Formula - think there's a 'Tropical' Jungle Formula too - but we just went to the 'normal' one. Oh, and if you only have two bites, I'm not sure I'm speaking to you anyway. Step MIL and I were scratching in more places than I care to mention - I was slapping on Calamine Cream to try to counter the after effects.

I have just finished making lime curd. Four jars gently cooling. I do wish I was a tenth as enthusiastic about clearing up my messes after I have finished cooking though. Apart from anything else it would give me more cooking time!

Now you're in this situation, I don't suppose you've any training classes in your area like this? One by One Training Class These are the classes our trainer runs which are great for dogs like this, and there's plenty of dogs gone on from here into 'normal' classes - when they've been ready. Anyway, from what I've seen of you, you've plenty enough practice in thinking about training in a positive way, so I've every confidence you'll be able to give some good help.
  10. That'll be Skin So Soft Bath Oil - which they now do as an Oil Body Spray. It actually smells rather nice IMO! Mags, if you are being eaten by whatever was eating me in Spiddal, you have my every sympathy - I still have the scars to show for it! Have to say we resorted to some tropical insect repellent which was on sale at a not particularly cheap price in Supervalu - it did seem to deter the blighters, although not completely - if you want the name of it I can dig it out and let you know. I'm fascintated by the idea of something I can make myself though ......
  11. Hope you've been having a lovely birthday.

I started reading back, but you're RMF-ing faster than I can find time to read. Very important RMF coming up. Tonight I met a Fugee - well, actually Tigger and I have been meeting her every Monday night for the last five weeks - but it was only as I said 'goodbye' and handed over "Mrs B's Pilchard/Pilchard and Garlic Treats" that we found out that I am 'that' Mrs B. This is another Fugee who is a member of Tigger's Harem! Actually, I didn't think that Fugees knew where Lincoln is.
  13. Now when the Refuge went off line I had things to say and questions to ask. Now I have forgot all! 'Odd' things happening at work - my boss (who will stay as my boss) is changing her role on Thursday - which means some of her current work will be forbidden to her (the joys of working for a German company with a hankering for matrix structures). I may have been asked to take on what she's not allowed to do, and I may be ever so slightly interested - and I'm darn sure I'll receive no extra pennies for it - but the challenge could be good. Meanwhile I'm having to tiptoe all around the department whilst everyone goes "I wonder who will be doing this part of the work come Thursday?"! Tigger is taking part in a University research project again, which started last night - as it involves bucket loads of food, he's more than happy. And he did rather fall in love with a stuffed toy dog at a distance of 13 feet, which amused me greatly! Off to buy tickets for the Waddington Air Show.
  14. Have to read things very very quickly at the moment before I lose my connection so forgive me if I miss something important or an update. Hope all is well with you and Cliffy, Nige Snow, I'm sure you are holding your own on the "other" Forum. I too have found myself in situations of struggling to represent my views against a torrent of folks who see, for example, no reason to report lost dogs on DogsLost. Keep up the good work. Sam, I'm very sure I haven't read what everyone has said in response to your posts. Sufficient to say that I continue to be in awe of your success in setting an organisation up from scratch in a foreign country, and taking that organisation from NPO to Charity in just a couple of years. Your dedication and hard work is a credit to you and Mark - and to the strength of your relationship. But. (I know, you shouldn't start a sentence with "But"). No organisation, commercial, charitable or anything else, can survive when those leading it and working for it are stretched beyond sanity - and if that means you have to say "no" to organising an event, that maybe what it takes - obviously it would have been good for your profile and presumably funds, but that's nothing if you're stressed to the extent of not being able to run existing things. Shame that your ex-colleagues couldn't have been amazed at your achievements, which are considerable on all levels - bigger shame I wasn't at the dinner - there are occasions when I sure could do with talking to someone at an event about something other than "work"!
  15. It has taken me two days to get on here and then when I write a considered RMF it disappears before I can hit the "Go" button. Here is my slightly less considered responses! Jazz it all takes time. There will be ups and downs and reminders for a long time to come. I'm sure there will be a Fugee around for you when it is needed. Greys Girl exciting news. Not so sure about the radiator bit though. Been watching currachs racing today. Great stuff. Although exhausting by association! The current next door dog now knows I'm a soft touch - every time we come back she prances around the wheels of the car until I get out and chuck handfuls of kibble for her to distract her away. Me-knows she has me trained! I'm going to hit that "Go" button quickly!
  16. Jazz Mags Are you sure it wasn't John who climbed in and locked the dog flap ....... HLGS I so know what you mean about wanting to climb into Holly's head to say "it's OK" - Tigger - who as you know was frightened of everything when he came to us, was suddenly spooked by a boat ring on a quay yesterday - it was about the circumference of a tea cup, and he danced around it as if it was going to bite him. Meanwhile, Daisy will let me towel her dry when she's sopping wet, but when she dampish, acts as if I am murdering her. Humans can cause so much damage. We are temporarily living next door to an extremely sweet little dog - who has yet to learn that not all dogs are as sweet as her. Meanwhile, little dog has such a spring on her, that she can bound up and knock down the handle to open our front door - which could be a shock all round if she invades Tigger and Daisy's space without warning!
  17. I am still dongling, which still leaves me every so slightly So catching up is especially hit, miss and full of errors! Lil Angel, those shirts are fab - you've done a great job. Managed to fall off a rock yesterday - not far you understand, but have my share of scrapes and bruises over legs, hips and hands now. Am now trying to explain to the In-Laws that it is perfectly normal practice for my recently emptied handbag to have a generous supply of arnica in it - as an "essential item"!
  18. This says it all really - the key bit about me dongling has disappeared, leaving it looking as if I am more than sploshed!
  19. y weird and slow - something to do with me only having three bars (and no, I'm nowhere near the pub). Off to see if I can have a read and catch up without crashing!
  20. I do sometimes give the Mrs B special "look of doom - I am very disappointed with you" - but unfortunately if Daisy has her nose glued to the fence, she can fail to spot this! Bless her cotton socks though, if she spots me and I recall her, she immediately leaves the fence alone and comes dashing back to me at a rate of knots.
  21. Gemstone From what I've seen of you around here I am sure you are looking after your cat just fine. Wonder if it might be worth you having your cat chipped to yourself - "just in case" at some point someone is too well meaning for their own good. Either see if the rescue would sign it on to you, or just rechip. Well done Alex on your exam result. I fear that everything else may have passed me by. I am currently suffering stress over being stressed about stressfully trying to organise a Mr B, in-laws associated with aforementioned Mr B, and two boingy collies into a going on holiday event. My "To Do List" stretches into next year - and that's just the day job, and I keep burning the midnight oil in a failed Superwoman effort to do everything else at home. I really, really, really need to sort my knitting and sewing out for my holidays tonight. Meanwhile, I was chatting to my neighbour last night (this is extremely rare event, but she is very very nice) - and she's asked to meet my dogs. In the hope that they will stop barking at her daring to entering her own garden. I fear this is a forlorn hope where Daisy is concerned as she lies down the side fence waiting to have a mild grumble when her cats venture in and out, and an all out collie-fit when the neighbour walks down the side. Tigger on the other hand will probably decide she is part of his harem, and will then scream at her from window if he sees her. That's now on my "Post Holiday Home To Do List"!
  22. I have the BBC Election blog thingy running in the background on my PC, and keep sneaking off to see the latest results and comments. I think some would say this makes me extremely sad! Normally I just want to know "the result", this time I have become an addict!
  23. If I didn't have to go to work tomorrow, I think I would actually stay up to watch the results come in. It's actually making the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. Mr B is up at 4 tomorrow anyway, so I might just be up not long after ......... unless I pop on the PC around 2-ish.
  24. Morning. Not raining here. Yet! Up and about and we're off out soon. Just trying to persuade Mr B to part company with his bed, and think I'll chop up some manky cheese for dog treats. I note that Daisy, who went to bed still looking as if she was wearing half the garden, is now sparkling white again. Mmmmmmm. Wonder where all that mud is now. See you later.
