  1. Lolol thanks for that Sam Hello Wendy Berty
  2. I have finally finished working for the night, and *think* I have dealt with a *situation* in a very positive manner I'm not around much these days as I am absolutely up to my eyes with work, but in a good busy way as opposed to a "I must work loads and not achieve anything way" if that makes sense. I do read RMF regularly each day and do think of those who need good thoughts or just a thought each day, I just don't post. Have a bit of a challenge tomorrow, am hoping it goes well
  3. This has been running for three weeks, one week people were looking for a PA, one bloke expected his PA to wash his dirty underwear It's a right eye opener!"
  4. Michelle, Great to "see" you, am so pleased to read your news Continued best wishes for a full recovery.
  5. JulesB, how is your mum these days? Sorry to hear about Spike
  6. PMSL I have found that the only beauty treatments that I am not allergic to are based on Indian beauty treatments and they are all very very relaxing, hence my possible holiday plans T'would be a good time to go, all the new books out for xmas, I could go loaded down with piles of books. Imagine a couple of weeks of reading, eating well, loads of lovely treatments, listening to music, and then home for xmas It sounds good to me Jules Phoenyx, sorry to read about Spike
  7. I am currently scheduled to be off work from Dec. 8th 2008 to Jan. 8th 2009, I shall be on vacation I am considering spending some of that time in an ayurvedic spa in India having lots of treatments
  8. I started on my garden last weekend I cleared the cement path on the right hand side of the house, unblocked the drain, pulled loads of weeds, and then installed a little veg garden in pots. I have a pepper plant, a tomato plant, an aubergine plant, several french bean plants, and a couple of strawberry plants, all in pots, the strawberries have loads of runners so the runners are draped across a few pots with just soil in them They are in the right side garden beside the two wonky apple trees, and next to a cotoneaster which is a bit out of control lolol (it's not a weeping or horizontal, it's the other type) One of the bird feeding stations is nearby so hopefully the birds will keep the slugs down! This weekend I am going to finish that part of the garden, by removing the rest of the weeds, transplanting a couple of beech hedges that were plonked down in the middle of that area one year *for a week*, tidying up the hose, and measuring out where the new fence is going. Then the following weekend, I shall put in the new fence That will mean my living room and kitchen windows can be opened without fear of the dogs leaping out and doing a runner That will be about 1/8th of the garden dealt with There is then the front bit, the other side garden which is about 50 feet by 20 feet, and the *groan* back garden which is triangular and is 150 feet x 150 feet x 150 feet. I really enjoyed the gardening this weekend, didn't achieve an awful lot overall, but that little bit of progress made me feel really cheerful I've pencilled in putting in raised beds for a veg garden in September, if my little bit that I worked on this weekend progresses :)
  9. Glad you are enjoying it so much Sam Same thoughts here, I was very disappointed
  10. Same here, I know of a case of a baby taken from his mum as she was an alcoholic and unable to care for him either during or after her pregnancy, he suffers from foetal alcohol syndrome as a result of the lack of care when in utero I do accept of course that the vast majority of mothers want the very best for their babies both pre and post birth, and take all the care they can, but there are the minority out there who do not and cause pain and suffering, sometimes for years to their children as a result of that. Personally I'd love to have a home birth or a birthing pool, but am too old at this stage if I ever do have children ETA: I'm not a friend of Jules, Donna, have never met her, or even "spoken" to her, apart from on here, don't think I've ever even pmed her And what Anne, and Helly have said is correct, there is no breach on Jules part due to her posting.
  11. Hello I've not been posting much, but have read throughout the past few days and sent good thoughts/ as appropriate as I have read. I've got the most manky cold going this past week, and I'm knackered lol
  12. But Jules point from what I can understand is that yes women have rights, and can choose the nature of how they give birth etc, but should a circumstance arise where the choice of care that they choose impacts upon the rights/health/life of their children, then the rights of that child come into play equally as much if not more than the mother. At the end of the day the mother can make the choice, the baby cannot.
  13. :biglaugh: Never ever get on the wrong side of a fugee
  14. We have a petrol Briggs and Stratton mower It takes very little petrol but at the end of each season you need to drain the petrol so it doesn't corrupt the engine. We get it serviced every year.
  15. You CAN do this I was so bad that I cancelled 5 appointments in a row rather than have a filling, I would start stressing about it days beforehand and feeling sick. When I finally turned up for a filling my dentist said "well at least you're here " He also has the radio on and chats away about nothing and takes regular breaks if treatment is long (like root canals) Sorry CT, didn't know that valium and diazepam are related Teg, sorry about your van and car
  16. Toblie, it can add to the cost, over here it adds £150 per visit. I have gotten over my fear of dentists due to a very understanding dentist, and in the past six months have tackled my manky mouth. I've had two root canals, two fillings, one temp filling and will be finished after another four fillings (total cos approx. £3000, we don't have NHS dental services here) and toddled into work fine after them all I was in this week with the hygienist, and she was digging away with that nasty pointed trowel thing, and I was just laid there no problem. Even the dental nurse said to the hygienist, "she was a really really really bad patient six months ago" A good dentist who will talk through exactly what they are doing, and will prearrange a stop signal with you can make all the difference my fear was the result of not getting enough anaesthetic and having a filling Very very best of luck! And dentists are able to prescribe valium too.
  17. Helen I've only seen pics here of your house but it's a real dream house, don't be so worried, they won't publish anything horrid. It WILL be fab, fab, fab!
  18. NN Murtle, glad I cheered you up Ange, the world is indeed going mad ETA: Katiebob, hope things work out! Good luck
  19. Thank you and nn My team solved a major problem today which was just amazing. It's for a new division we support which started last month but they have had the problem for a couple of years prior. The very very very funny aspect of it is that I am not a traditional IT employee in that I am not very technical, and work using process rather than techie knowledge. Anyway the problem that we solved today has been ongoing for six weeks. (for us in that we could not fix it) It reached a cresendo today, and I got sick of listening to "if we could only do this, it would be fixed", told them to replicate the error, email me the details, and then I went onto google. God was with me and the first google result I got was the EXACT problem we were having. Cue: Problem solved, techies amazed, and their fellow techies slagging them unmercifully as the source of the solution was their completely non techy manager ETA: my name is spelt in my sig but I can never remember Kelly/Khanu's name either
  20. Good for you I'm so pleased for you that is just brilliant, you must be chuffed to bits I also had good news in work today, boss informed me I am doing my job extremely well Sophie, I agree with Khanu, it's the QA / Release management process that's to blame, not you Great news about Tilly Jules
  21. most banking sites have mortgage calculators, where you put in the price, the term of the mortgage and it tells you how much the repayments will be.
