  1. Neighbour just called, he's been found safe and well thank god. Don't know the details yet as OH spoke to her but the main thing is he's okay.
  2. This is my neighbours son's dog I have given him Dog Lost's number, he's informed the police. I advised him to ring dog warden, vets etc etc in the area. Not heard anything since about tea time so presume he hasn't been found yet. Will post when any news
  3. Out walking in the park in Levenshulme Manchester Greenbank Park, Barlow Road 5 month old black and white collie called Billy, pink spot on left nostril, microchipped. Firework startled him and he ran. Missing 2-3 hours If anyone can help it would be much appreciated. Thanks
  4. They could film a whole series Selina never mind one episode. Thank dog Ruby is okay, she's never had to go for anything, paws crossed.
  5. Rosie has just had lumps checked, apparently fluid and has been on antibiotics and now Metacam. Her and Sham have had a ear infection (Rosie gets these a lot) which has now cleared. Noticed Sham had some green pus coming from her eye, she went the vets tonight onlong with Rosie who had her check up. She has a wart inside her eye, it doesn't seem to be bothering her but she also has a eye infection so is now on eye drops. It's like animal hospital here again at the mo. We have to keep a close eye on the wart and if it doesn't seem to bother her or get any bigger it's okay, if not then it's off with it. She goes back next Friday for her check up. She hates the vets with a passion but is very good when having to have things done at home.
  6. Great pics Selina, he already looks well settled. He's one lucky fella
  7. So sorry, hugs to you all Run free Jack, you sure were a handsome man.

    Poor Sham

Sham didn't get off scot free, I found a small bite on her ear later on. So it's been bathed in hibiscrub twice a day and is doing fine. I've varied my times the last few days yet still seem to see him and his dog. When I do I put the girls on their leads but he still has his offlead but does turn round and walk the other way. There are loads of Labs on the heath that the girls have no problem with and vice versa.

    Poor Sham

There's a big Lab that lives round the corner, she and Ruby have never liked one another. This Lab is well known for attacking other dogs too. Anyway just coming off the heath with my 3 girls and the man was walking up with this Lab off lead and pushing his grandchild in a pram. Ruby was in the field and I called her to me and she came straight away ignoring the Lab. Walking down the path I asked him why she was off lead and he said she'd been fine for a few months. Next minute the Lab dropped it's stick and pounced on Sham who'd been walking calmly by my side. It had her on her back and he just stood there, I got it off and then it came back and pounced on her again. I'm sorry to say I gave it a kick, there was no way I was going to let it hurt Sham. But, the best yet, now get this.............................. He blamed it on Ruby, he said it was Ruby's fault his dog was aggressive as they always fought. Now hang on this dog always attacked Ruby and she just stuck up for herself and then in future probably thought she'd get in first. Ruby just stood there today and was doing nothing but it was still her fault. I asked was it her fault that his dog attacked other dogs and he said it was. Some people. I've checked Sham over and she's fine but I was in shock as I think she was when it pounced. He never once attempted to get his dog off or put it on a lead.

    I Despair

The two Sfaffie crosses and one Staffie I transported to boarding this morning were all darlings (can't say litte) My sister fell in love with Aisha, she kept leaning her chin on the back of the seat giving her a doe eyed look and my sis couldn't take her eyes off her. They were no trouble whatsoever and it's so sad for these dogs, unfortunately I haven't got a answer either. But you could see into Aisha's soul through her beaufiful brown eyes (not looked at my pics yet I'll be mesmerised again). Again it's so sad and you want to cry for the poor things. But, you're doing a wonderful if heartbreaking job Coryn, I say time and again I don't know how you do it.
  18. Took the girls in for their groom, Sham had been feeling the heat but I couldn't get all four in till today. Went to collect them and had a minute while they sorted Rosie's medication out. I got chatting to one of the girls and asked if they all behaved. She said all four are perfect, after their groom they lie down and go to sleep and nothing bothers them. I asked if they still needed to muzzle Sham and was made up when she said they hadn't needed to the last few times she'd been in. She said she doesn't like having her face blown (who would) and grumbles a little but doesn't go to bite (I don't think she'd of gone that far but you never know) She also said they'd noticed a marked difference in her since she first went. She's more relaxed (apparently she was stiff as a board at first) and they find no need at all to use a muzzle. I'm made up as we haven't needed it for a long time and when you towel her down she growls with delight and wants to play with the towel. Here she is with her wet towel on to keep her cool. They all jumped out of the car and straight to the gate as if to say "We've spent long enough in the beauty parlour now we want walkies". Now I need a nap before tea So please go away with that horrid camera and leave me alone. Right that's it I'm not even going to look at you, I'm off to dream of chicken for tea. So good girl Shammie, I knew you'd get used to it
  19. Makes me laugh Liz when I get the hoover out. If I go near her cuddly toys she starts attacking the hoover thinking it wants to take them away. PS: She's not had my dusters yet and I'm dusting (or supposed to be) as I speak.
  20. What a beautiful tribute to a handsome old fella. Had me in tears too. Run free Pete
  21. This is us on entering Aunty Fiona's house, pair of wimps we are. Her face does look a picture, giving the evil eye to Ruby (Get off my couch, now).
  22. Well really I've had more than two, been on a few weekends also and lots and lots of days out. Been to Talacre beach and Aintree beach several times. Also been for a long weekend to Harlech with Mum and Dad's friends and their Springers. Not bad in 13 months, must be due another very soon, after all our last one was in March. This time we went on the East Coast of Scotland to Fife, only because Aunty Fiona lives there and although they'd all visited before they didn't have me then (so of course I HAD to visit). It was lovely there though, lots of beaches and woods and I loved the cottage. Although Ruby kept pinching my spot on the couch (cheek) then I'd have to go in the other room and snuggle up on the old chair. But, mostly I got there first and got to rest my head on Dad's lap, I had a whale of a time with the bathroom being so close. He got in the bath and I was in and out in a flash with his hankie in my gob and off to the bedroom to hide it. He'll have none left at this rate, mum's already had to buy several more supplies of her socks. I let Ruby share with me this time. But mostly she and Rosie were on the floor where they belong. She'd beaten me to it this time though I wasn't too happy (can you tell). So I went off sulking in the other room on the little chair. Having a mooch Catching Dad up We love the beach I have lots more but I don't want to bore you all at once with pics of the gorgeous me. Not sure if to post those with the two giants I met. They scared the living daylights out of me. Me and Ruby both jumped on Mum's lap so as to avoid them. Well it was their house after all, I'd expect them to do the same at mine.
  23. I'll sponsor him too, put me down for a tenner as well. Nice pic, I love flowers.
  24. What a wonderful tribute to a very special girl I love all the pics but this is my favourite.
