ReikiAnge
Is it ok to tell bidders what the reserve price is? Someone has asked me about an item I'm listing and I'm not sure whether it's a "done thing" or not. I guess if it's way above what they'd want to pay, they won't want to bother bidding, but presumably it's kept hidden from bidders for a reason? Thanks for any advice
redditchlady
When I sold a couple of motorbikes on there with the mobile number for viewing, I was asked. I did tell them. I guess it can work both ways for or against.

our little godsend
I'm not sure about the "rules", but we have asked and been asked about reserves . We have seen people asking the reserve and the question has been put on the board. Also, we have seen people say what their reserve price is in their description . We usually ask people simply not to waste anyones time by bidding on something we are not likely to afford

Samjam
Being a bit of an ebay freak Ange its fine to let people know your reserve price, its completely the sellers choice, as to whether they disclose it or not. The reserve price is purely for you to set a minimum amount for what you would accept for the item.
ReikiAnge
Thanks for the help. Not sure why I bothered to tell him though as he bid way under the reserve price, even knowing what it was. Not sure why he bid at all
