02 Broadband

im thinking of changing broadband and home phone provider and o2 have a good deal at the moment for existing customers which we are but i dont want to change and find out the broadband is rubbish.

 

Does anyone have o2 broadband and is it any good ?

the broadband itself is ok - i am on it

 

 

their router is crap though and their customer service can be patchy IME

 

have a look at BE - lots of people i know who are on them are more than happy

i have a netgear router if i went with o2 could i use that?

 

am liking their home phone package as it allows a bundle of free calls to 0870 numbers (which i use a lot) as well as free anytime calls at a much better rate than im getting currently but you have to have their broadband to get the home phone i think.

I've been waiting for them to "get set up here" as I like the look of their package too but have never been able to get O2 on my exchange so far (not at the advertised / competitive rates anyway). I thought they had amongst the best customer service reviews around?

They also offer a 30 day trial period during which you can cancel the contract if not satisifed so you've seemingly little to lose by trying them. I love a bargain

Post office do a cheap deal too if you've not seen it.

 

I've been with them about 9 months & in that time have found the broadband itself acceptable (some times faster than others but comparable with or better than others I've tried - AOL, Pipex / Tiscali) though customer service is (like most providers it seems) quite poor if you do need to contact them.
