bonniebird
Hi all, we just got a 2nd hand red leather sofa on ebay. Its in immaculate condition and the lady said she used special wipes for leather sofas, anyone know what they are? If not, what do you use to keep leather in good nick? Its more an upkeep question than cleaning. Thanks
murtle
I have leather wipes for my leather seats in the car - they can be bought in cars shops and sainsburys - think they were called something orginal like leather wipes!
Rudi
Some people use baby wipes, but places like Lakeland (and supermarkets) do special leather wipes http://www.lakeland.co.uk/nourishing-leather-wipes/F/keyword/leather+wipes/product/20211 Wilkinson do some, I'm not sure if they're all equal or whether you get what you pay for though... http://www.wilkinsonplus.com/Car-Cleaning/Wilko-Wipes-Interior-Leather-Large-x-24/invt/0258251 You can get stuff from Leather Master which does a deep clean and protection. http://www.leathermasteruk.com/
Spins4me
I've used some special leather cleaning wipes and protecting cream cloths from DFS. They're supposed to be used monthly. They did a good cleaning job and hopefully a good protecting job but they were v expensive - £25 for 12 of each. I've seen a leather cleaning kit in Ikea, don't know the cost. merledogs
You can get a spray from your supermarket which works out cheaper than buying the wipes. For protection, you can get a bottle of leather protector which you wipe on and buff off. I bought mine off eBay Edited September 20, 2009 by merledogs
