Fee
Jake is a wonderful 13 year old black Labrador boy who is in an Oldies Club foster home near Sleaford in Lincolnshire. Jake settled into his foster home very quickly. He’s living with two resdient dogs (one a small older girl and one a large and lively boy) and he gets on fine with them. He also takes no notice of the resident cat. He politely fitted in with them and is quite happy to share his bed and toys. He is gentle around the children and loves to be fussed by them and to play ball games. Jake’s foster carer feels that he could live with sensible children of any age. His foster carer tells us: Jake really enjoys his walks, short or long. He shows no stiffness and is mainly walked off lead in countryside around our home. He walks beautifully on the lead, never pulls, and can safely be let off. He likes to keep you in sight and has very good recall. He is excellent in the car, jumps in, settles down and is quiet. We were told by his previous owner that Jake dislikes loud bangs such as fireworks, thunder and so on, as with lots of dogs. We’ve experienced no problems whilst he’s been with us. Jake’s favourite things are being in the garden, lying in the sun on the patio, off lead walks, and snoozing on his bed. Oh and not forgetting his food. Well, he is a Labrador!! Jake really would fit into most loving homes. He would fit into a family home with children, other dogs or cats. I also feel that he would be as happy with a couple or older person and would make a great companion for them. To sum Jake up, I would say that he is a real pleasure to have around. He is a true gentleman of the canine world!. He is a placid and happy dog, is easy going, has lovely manners with the other dogs, and he also likes a bit of fun and mischief. He will pick up your shoe or trainer and carry it around in his mouth if he thinks you might be getting ready for a walk! Jake is neutered and vaccinated. He will be flea and worm treated and microchipped shortly. ————————————————– If you are interested in Jake, please refer to our Adoption Procedures for information about the adoption process.
