one.eyed.dog
Said guy is in my department and he has a share in a racing greyhound. I asked if he would have it put down when it stopped raceing. He said no. They deliberatly chose an unusual coloured one so it would easily be re-homed when it finished. Apparently, they already have a home lined up for it when the time comes. Don't quite know what to think on this one. Sorry meant to put this in chat. Can it be moved????????? Peachy
I know what I think. He has a dog that he has no intention of keeping. So he/she isn't a pet and was never intended to be so, even if a home is lined up. And I'm a cynic and I know what I think of that too. But I hope I'm wrong. Rudi
I'm not sure how you could line a home up and rely on it - a million and one things could change by the time the dog needs the home. Shame he can't keep the dog himself.

Brindlebabe
Just make some money, then get rid when the poor dog is no longer fast enough. I know what I think .
Sirlurcherlot
I find this very sad To me this isn't owning a dog, and this is one of the things about the industry.
Trallwm farm
Maybe its better to have an owner who knows a little about Greyhound welfare than one who knows nothing at all. There is always going to be someone who part owns one but at least they have discussed the dogs future. if he just changes the viewpoint of one owner then maybe some good can come of this.
