lazydaisy
I am going on the oldies camping weekend next week and have been thinking about an electric cool box. I know they plug into the socket in your car. But what happens when the car is not running? Does the box stay cool, and does it effect your car battery? jacqui d
You need to put ice blocks in it like a regular cool box, then keep it plugged in to keep the cold air circulating, it might drain your battery if it isnt fully charged, but they are only (imo) any good for 24 proper cooling anyway
pboae
We've got one that goes in the car and we don't bother plugging it anymore. It doesn't seem to be any more effective when it is turned on than when we just use it as a regular cool box, I freeze bottles of water and juice to use as ice packs and save space. blackmagic
we have one for the dog's raw food when we go away. It only works when the car engine is running, but then stays cold for ages, unless you keep opening it. We also sometimes use it an ordinary coolbox with frozen coolpacks in it.
