Fee
Kyle is a 10 year old Cocker Spaniel who is looking for a new home after becoming jealous of the young child that he thought had taken his place as baby of his previous family. He is now in an Oldies Club foster home in Cheshire. Kyle is a lovely boy who is very good in the house and has settled at his foster home straight away. He is a softy who loves cuddles and adores being bathed and towel-dried. And, as you can see from his photos, Kyle also likes to pose for the camera! He gets on OK with dogs he knows but not all new ones he meets. He should be OK to live with a dog after careful introductions. Kyle is placid and submissive with the resident dog in his foster home. He cannot live with cats as he is a determined cat hunter! Kyle could live with older, sensible children. Kyle is excitable in the car and quite barky, but he’s OK if he’s had a walk before setting off. He’s a strong boy who pulls on the lead and barges through doors and gates. He’s slowly learning that this isn’t acceptable, but his new owner will need to continue training him. He also needs work on his recall, so his foster carer is exercising him on a lunge line until he improves. In true spaniel style, you can’t keep Kyle out of water! Therefore, he must be kept on a short lead when close to canals and other dangerous water. Kyle is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and flea- and worm-treated. He was well-behaved when he had his vet-check, even when he had his anal glands emptied. He is in generally good health but needs to lose a few pounds and to be kept on a healthy diet - this should help keep his anal glands healthy too. He does have a small lump on his chest that the vet thinks is probably a fatty lump. Kyle will make a great dog for someone who will enjoy continuing his training and who is happy to provide him with lots of love and cuddles! If you would like to find out more about Kyle, please refer to our Adoption Procedures for information about the adoption process. You can then contact an Oldies Club rehoming co-ordinator as follows: Email: [email protected] Telephone: 0844 586 8656 Kyle can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, subject to a satisfactory home visit, but please note that you will be required to travel to the foster home to meet him.
