I volunteer for SHWA(UK) and here is Deisels story...

Diesel has been awaiting an assessment from SHWA(UK) for two months (yes we are that busy!) Last night I had a call from his distressed owner stating that her husband was going to have Diesel PTS!! The owner believed that Diesel was a Sibe but when he turned up for his assessment tonight, at my house he is definatley a Malamute.

Diesel is a two year old, neutred, bi-eyed one blue one brown, fully vaccinated male. He has lived with a female Lhaso Apso at his current home. If he was a sibe he would have passed his assessment with flying colours, he took to our neutered male straight away and they had a good play around the garden. His nails were really long when he arrived so I offered to trim the for him, he lay down and rolled over so I could get a better hold of his foot and was happy for me to cut them. Hes lovely natured and I really want to help his owners find a good home for him. They didnt really understand what they had let themselves in for and dont really understand the breed at all. If any rescue can help with fostering him or adopting him then please can you email me on [email protected]

Here are a few pics, sorry they are not very good he obviously had not played with another dog for a long time.

Due to him having a blue eye, he isn't a Malamute, he's a husky/mal cross, therefore neither of the breed rescues can take him. Is there anyone that has knowledge of these breeds that could offer him a home or a rescue in a position to help this boy? If so, please contact Gemma directly on the email address above. Thankyou :)
