Alison
Logging off home PC now but will be back online at work tomorrow. Ex-OH lodger person (whose computer I use for the internet) clicked on the "updates are ready for your computer" balloon today and I came home to find that a new version of IE has installed itself and that page won't display/access denied or some such. Essentially I can no longer just click on the Explorer icon and start Googling. It's been very difficult getting on here tonight and goodness knows how I did - definitely trial and error rather than by design. Any suggestions? Helly
im sure there is a clever way but i did the same about 6 months ago and was well and truly baffled by it all. i used system restore and went back one day. took it all back to how it was. snow
Uggg that'll be I.E 7 then lol you have my sympathy I have that in work and I loathe it so have disabled it from ever being downloaded to my pc without me specifically going to look for it Easiest and quickest way is do what Di suggested - system restore to the day before the updating was done Toolkit for disabling IE 7 downloading as an update is here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en
