akitas
Sorry, I haven't read the article, but when it comes to insurance every dog which looks like a pedigree is classified as one. I have several BC, but only know the origin of 1. I have one Akita, which is probably from a puppy farm. And I have no proof of pedigree, to the insurance she is a pedigree nevertheless. Do they make a difference in their study about that? As long as I don't look into the breeding, where they come from, how carefully bred, I think you can have both, with pedigrees or with mongrels. Another study which doesn't mean a thing
EGAR
I have a very interesting article which I read and re-read every now and then. Genetic Cul=de=sac Long but well worth reading.
